Years Don't Lie

On a day like this,

We kissed,

And wished away our lives,

Outsdie,

In the sunshine, sea and sand and light,

My life,

It flashed right before my very eyes,

And I cried,

Well no, no not this time!

And the years we missed,

Dismissed,

They cut you like a knife,

Inside,

Cos you don't know what you got until it die,

Time flies,

And you can't believe the lines around your eyes,

That cried,

Well no, no not this time!

And we made a fist,

Took risks,

And lived just for the highs,

Cut ties,

Tried to live forever swim against the tide,

Of life,

But it drags you under get's into your eyes,

That cried,

Well no, no not this time!

And though I feel so much older,

I guess years don't lie,

I've still got my youth on my side,

And though I wish I was younger,

I'd take 25, if I could just stay this age til I die.
