KYOYA has never been good at expressing overwhelming emotions. It does not mean that he doesn't feel them, but he just has a hard time reacting to anything when it happens.
When something big happens, or something which would cause him to have a strong reaction, it is his first instinct to have a calm unreadable reaction. This was good for his work, but not in this instance.
When he hears his wife utter the two words 'I'm pregnant' with a nervous looking expression plastered across his face, he freezes up.
He feels so many emotions, ones he have felt before, but never all at the same time. Happiness, a strong happiness surges through him, he was going to be a dad! Shock, because yet again, he was going to be a father! Concern, over both his wife, and his unborn child. Worry, about there being complications with the pregnancy. And an overwhelming urge to wrap his wife up in bubble wrap, keeping her as safe as possible.
He freezes up, an almost blank expression across his face, as he took in this information. He mumbles the words to himself, like he was trying to comprehend what the meaning was, although he knew exactly what it meant. "you're pregnant?"
His wife nods expectantly, waiting for his reaction. It was nerve wracking to her, she had no idea what he was going to do. They had talked a while ago about the possibility of having children, but now that it was reality, he may have a different opinion
"Kyoya?" They ask, hesitantly.
He looks at them, locking eyes as he holds their hands tightly. "I love you so much" He tells them, his voice cracking, giving in to the emotions he was feeling "We are finally going to be a proper family"
He pulled his wife into a hug, not to tight to hurt the baby, but tight enough to let them know he would always be there for them. He was hiding the tears in his eyes, as he rested his head on their shoulder.
He was going to be a dad.
