Kick Back

*** Friday ***

*** Aaliyah's POV ***

*** Ring Ring Ring ***
the bell for 7th period rang indicating the last period of the day was finally over. I grabbed my book bag and headed to the flag pole me Simone and daijah meet at everyday.

" what's up yall ! , your mom gone let you go to the kick back liyah ?" Daijah greeted us and asked me

" yessss , she said I can go , she wants me to have " the authentic highschool experience ". I said quoting my moms exact words.

" yayyy okay. ! Simmmmmmy you gotta come how you wanna be the captain of the JV cheerleading team but don't want to go to no parties ?!" Daijah turned to Simone

" she makes a valid point " I said attesting to Daijahs statement

" ugh , clearly y'all not going to leave me alone about this . I'll go " Simone said rolling her eyes.
" but I'm not staying all night " she continued.

" deal " Daijah and I said at the same time.

" liyah how you getting there ? I know ma not taking you " Daijah asked as we started walking towards the student garage , completing our everyday activity

" yes " I sighed " that was the only  way she agreed to let me go " I continued

" make sense " Simone said
"I guess " Daijah said

We made it up to the garage and Simone and Daijah got in their cars. I left the garage and walked to the car rider line to greet my mom. I got in the car and like clock work I grabbed my matcha latte and took a sip.

" ahh that was good " I said to myself

" I'm glad it was since I didn't get a thank you " my mom said jokingly

" thank you ma " I said laughing

" about this party ..." she started

" kickback " I said cutting her off

" as I was saying " she continued. " I need to know everything going on while you at this party if you don't text me back I will come get you if you don't answer the phone I'll come get you. I know I'll be dropping you off but make sure Simone or Daijah bring you home " she went on

I sat in my seat quit and nodding making sure my mom knew I was well aware of her expectations for the kick back.

" you understand " she asked without taking her eyes off the road

" yes ma'am " I answered

" what time is this kick back anyways and when is it supposed to end ?" She asked

" it starts at 7 which I'm sure really means 8 and there was no end time " I stated truthfully

" well for you it ends at 10:30 and be home by 11. Mess this up and there will be no more kick back , parties , nothing Li , I'm not playing with you " she said sternly

" yes ma'am I understand " I said trying to think now how was I going to get home considering Simone said she was  leaving  early and Daijah was probably going to stay till it ended. I guess I'll figure it out once I get there .

After about 30 minutes we finally got home and it was 4 o clock. I guess I' have enough time to take my after school nap and then get ready for the party.
Before getting comfty in bed I made sure to get the address from Daijah and forward it to my mom. I texted the group chat and we all agreed to get there around 8 that way we won't have to stay too long and we won't be there too early. Just to map out how much time I had to sleep I clicked on the address in maps and looked at the time to get there. It read 27 minutes . And it takes me about a hour to get ready. I set my alarm for 6pm so I can take a nap and have enough time to get ready for the kick back. 
I kicked my shoes off and took off my clothes , I sat my phone down on the nightstand  next to me and snuggled up under the covers slowly drifting to sleep.
