Papa Nihil (young)
I think he'd be a bit wierded out at first, or at least concerned. But after a while, and some explanation, I think he'd understand and be ok with it! I don't think he'd ever get fully used to his s/o acting as a cat or dog, but still would accept and love them just the same.
Papa Nihil (old)
Old man over here would definitely be incredibly confused and weirded out by this happening. "Why are they doing this?" "Are you ok ??" He would ask so many questions about it while being very concerned about you. After a very, VERY, long explanation of what it is, he'd be ok with it. Still surprises him a bit but still loves you the same!
Papa "Primo" Emeritus I
Bros fucking creeped/weirded tf out by this, does not understand the concept of it at first. And definitely won't understand even after you explain it, he will definitely google it for more information. After a bit I think he'd be ok with it, still loves you, just a bit jarring to him.
Papa "Secondo" Emeritus II
Has probably had another s/o who was also a pet regresser before, but still is kind of surprised when you are. Fully understands when you explain what it is or why it happens. Loves you the same and fully supports your regression when it happens.
Papa "Terzo" Emeritus III
Already knows what it is and how to handle it, has definitely looked into what it is out of curiosity. Loves you the same and fully understands and supports you when you regress.
Papa IV/Copia
Fully understands and loves you the same. In my personal opinion/headcannon, I think he regresses to a Rat or Mouse when he's stressed. So he understands and will help you when you need it. Definitely one of the most understanding Papas out of them all.
Lemme know if i got anything wrong at all, I've never written about this before and I'd appreciate advice for it!
