Chapter 18: Dinner Gone wrong

Everyone's POV:
*Play: Rockin Robin- Bobby day*

As it would roll to night time the time would show 5:00 PM, Norah and her brothers would be ready for dinner Norah would be wearing a light blue dress with her hair braided and her with a black heart necklace that cameron gave her, Andrew would be wearing a nice shirt and jeans, with mike wearing a black tshirt and jeans. Norah would hear the doorBell ring and Cameron would walk in wearing a nice sweater and pants followed by jet and his family Norah would run and hug jet and say "Im glad you could make it JJ!" she would smile as she has her arms wrapped around Jet. Jet smiled, hugging her tightly. "Oh my gosh.. It's almost like you literally saw me yesterday, dont get so excited just to see me!" He said laughing. Steven and Toby looked at each other with a smirk while Jet's mother and father looked around the house awkwardly, feeling out of place in such a nice house hold. Mike would say "Hey Hun!" as he would kiss jet without his parents noticing and smiling. "What are you doing?" Jet whispered, looking around to make sure his family didn't see. "Just proving a point to my parents, that I like you and that I love you. That's all hun, we can tell them tonight you me and my sister and her boyfriend as well we can tell them they're gonna accept you!" Mike exclaimed. Jet shook his head violently. "What about my family?" He said in a whisper-yell tone. "I'm not ready for them to know." Mike would say "My sister is telling my parents tonight about Cameron, if it makes you feel better, I can tell them when we all sit down after dinner" Mike said. Jet scrunched his nose up, burrowing his eyebrows. "You're not understanding love, If things go wrong I'm screwed. I can't risk getting literally disowned by my family right in front of yours. It would ruin me" Jet frowned, nervous to bits. Mike would say "Darling, darling your not gonna get disowned, if things go south you can stay with us, my family will accept you, they will i swear, it wont ruin you me and norah and cameron will all be here to support you" mike would smile hugging jet. Jet let his arms fall by his sides. "Why aren't you understanding me?" he asked sorrowfully. Before either of them had a chance to say something else, Steven grabbed Jet by the shoulders. "Hey man, not to be rude or anything but im gettin' kind of bored, whatcha do around here all day?" He asked as Toby peered over his shoulder, seemingly waiting for an answer himself. Jet glanced at Mike and sighed, half out of sadness and half out of relief. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure there's something for you boneheads to do around here, right mike?" Jet asked mike. Mike would overhere his parents say "Dinner's ready!" Mike would say "Oh, my mom is making her famous pasta and hamburgers and hotdogs she always makes it for us" Mike would say "Coming Mom!" mike would say "come on guys!" as everyone would sit down at the table. Norah would say "So, i have some news" Norah's Dad would say "Yes Hun?" Norah would say "I'm dating Cameron" Cameron would say "Yup!" Norah's mom would say "Omg!, congrats hun!" Norah's dad would say "Yippie! congrats" mike would whisper to jet: "see love?, see how they reacted". Jet shook his head and leaned closer to mike. "That's because they're a boy and a girl. We're both boys, we're just..." Jet paused, taking a deep breath before finishing. "..Different. We're different." He whispered, leaning back into his spot, staring down at his plate. Norah's Mom would say "Ahem? Mike, Jet, have something to say boys?" Mike would say "No Mom". Jet would swallow thickly, slowly shaking his head. "No ma'am" he responded. Norah would say "You sure?" she would look at jet knowing her mom was on the fact mike was onto something. "Mike Jet are you two a thing" Mrs.Wilson asked. Jet's mother turned and looked at him while his father glared at him with an eyebrow raised. "No! No! We're not. That would be weird!" Jet blurted out, his voice getting quiet at the word 'weird'. Mike would say "No Mom, where not, where really good-" Mike's Mom would say "A couple? If you guys are then tell the truth your sister did" Andrew would say "How come i found love let-" Mike would look at Andrew mouthing to him "shut the fuck up" Andrew would say "Yeah love letters in norah's room for cameron right?" Andrew would look at Jet trying to save him from telling his parents Cameron would say "I have to leave, sorry thank you for the amazing dinner" Norah would say "Love you!!" Cameron would say "Love you 2 nory!" Andrew would say "I'm gonna wash up and head up to my room". Steven would glance up from his plate, looking over to Jet. "Is that your friend's brother?" He asked as if the answer wasn't obvious. "Duh" jet responded, rolling his eyes.Mike would say "OOH , my best friend's brother is trying to flirt with my older brother!!" norah would over here and say "Mike, I love you but go away right now dickhead!" Norah would say while laughing and saying "Sorry about my brother he's a bit of a goofy monster". Andrew would say "DONT BE RUDE TO MIKE MINNIE MOUSE FUCKING CLUB HOUSE" Norah would yell back "OKAY MICKEY FUCKING FLIPPING MOUSE!" Mike would say "WOULD BOTH OF YOU STOP YELLING!". Jet shook his head, trying not to laugh he shoved a piece of food into his mouth. Steven and Toby stared at each other confused. "And I thought we fought a lot," Toby whispered to Steve, who just shrugged in return. Norah and Mike would keep bitching at each other and Andrew would say "Sorry about my 2 goofy ass siblings, they love to bicker and argue, And you must be?" Andrew would look at Steven and toby. "Steven" He smiled, taking another bite of his food. "I'm Tobias, but you can call me Toby." Toby said, smirking over at Steven who had some pink pigment blushing his cheeks. Andrew would say "Im andrew buttt, please don't mind my siblings nicknames they use for me we've all called each other Goofy, Mickey, Minnie since all little" andrew would smile with his bright white pearly smile Andrew would say "What nicknames do you guys have. I'm sure you guys might have nicknames" Andrew would ask nicely. "Nicknames for who?" Toby asked with an eyebrow raised. Andrew would say "You, Jet, And Steven". Steven and Toby glanced at each other. "Well," Toby started. "We call Jet little man or squirt!" Steven interrupted. "Our mom calls us Beavis and Butthead though" Toby shook his head. "Thanks for interrupting me, dickhead" he snapped at Steven. Mike would say "Uh guys? I hate to break up the party but norah is-uhh jet you might wanna go look" Mike would give a worried look at jet and his brothers. Jet would look over confused. "She's what?" he questioned. Mike would say looking down "she's been in her room crying for a couple of minutes could you go check on her?" Mike would say smiling to jet. "Sure," Jet said. "But why don't you check up on her yourself, you're her brother after all". Mike would say "I just did, she doesn't wanna talk to me, id call cameron but hes busy with family right now" mike would say snapping at jet in a snippy attitude. Jet would look him up and down. "I can see why she doesn't want to talk to you." he mumbled, walking off to Norah's room.


"Norah?" He called out, knocking on the door Norah would say "Who is it?" in a raspy voice because of her crying. "It's me, Jet" He said. Norah would quickly get up and open the door and hide something in her pocket and she would say "Im sorry for looking like a fucking wreck, ill explain why im crying" norah would say trying to calm down and looking at jet in a confused happy smile and would look down and say "i feel like my siblings fucking hate me, mike gave me a whole letcuture how im not fucking good enough, and i feel shitty now" Norah would say breaking down again Looking at jet hugging him feeling safe in his arms because Norah felt weird around her siblings at the moment and norah felt like jet didn't hate her its just she felt safe around jet no matter anyone she felt safe, in jets arms. Jet would rub her back confused. "Mike, said you weren't good enough?" He said, needing clarification he heard it right. Norah would say "Yes, He did" Norah would say while breathing in and out trying to calm down from crying Norah would say "He also just told me that i wasn't a good enough sister, and that im the dumb one, and i always ruin his plans and much more" norah would say still a mess from crying Norah would say again "Im sorry Jetson, im sorry im sorry for venting all this out" norah never used jets full name unless she was angry at him but norah was upset. "I'm sorry," Jet stuttered out. "But that doesn't seem like something he'd say, are you sure you heard him right?" he asked. Norah would say "Im sure, Mike said it" Norah would look up at jet and Norah would say "Are you wanting to beat mikes ass orr?". Jet shook his head. "I don't get violent, you know that. Ill uhm" he paused, thinking for awhile "I'll talk to him okay?". Norah would smile and say "Thank you, and i know you don't get violent, also mike is downstairs in the kitchen with my parents your parents and my brother and your brothers" she would smile laughing. Jet just nodded and patted her on the back before walking out, confused as ever.

Jet walked down the stairs to the kitchen, over-hearing a conversation going on with Steven and Andrew. "So... what's your favorite type of music? Do you like rock?" Steven leaned in close to Andrew, awaiting his answer. Andrew would say "I like some rock but, like my siblings i like pop music mostly my brother and my sister are the pop freaks" he would laugh and he would notice Jet walking downstairs and Andrew would say "How's Norah Jet?" He would ask, looking at Jet. Jet just shrugged in return. "Where's Mike?" He asked blankly. Andrew would say "Mikes on the porch with his parents and your parents" he would say Andrew would ask "Why, is there something going on?" he would say worried. Jet shook his head. "He's out there, with my parents, without me?" Jet started to shift nervously in place. Andrew would say "Hes talking about other stuff, dont worry, not you guys, hes talking about his Basketball and shit" Andrew would say in a calm voice. "Okay." Jet nodded, walking out to the porch as Steven resumed his conversation with Andrew.


Jet looked out the window on the door before walking out, trying to decide the mood of the conversation. Mike would be talking and laughing outside over the glass window. Mike would be bragging about his basketball tournament and he would look and see jet looking through the window and then he would notice jet and then shake his head and say "ill be right back" he would go inside and say "Everything okay JJ?" He asked Jet. Jet looked down, picking at his fingernails. "Well, Norah said that you told her she wasn't a good sister, is that true?" Jet asked sheepishly. Mike would sigh and say before talking and taking a deep breath in "Yes, it's true. I told her that" he would say looking at Jet. "Why?" Jet frowned, hating that the news was true. Mike would say "Because my friends kept picking on my sister and now, i've done it too, i've done some stuff to norah" he would say knowing the fact jet was upset and him. "Why?" Jet asked again, keeping his head down. Mike would say "I did it for popularity, i told my sister she was awful, she was this and that so then my friends can like me" he would say. Jet shook his head, finally looking up at Mike. "That's not something that's okay to do!" He shouted. "You can't just shit on your sister because you want to be friends with some lame-os!" Mike would say "I'M SORRY OKAY?!, Im sorry my friends forced me to do it i also had to dunk norah's head in the toilet and almost make her throw up, that's how badly this is messed up, i MESSED up and i regret it, i pushed her in the courtyard, i stepped on her back thats how fucking badly I MESSED UP!" mike would say looking at jet. "Your friends don't force you to do shit. You could've easily walked away from them but instead you chose to be an asshole. You're an awful person Mike." Jet said coldly, turning around and walking back inside. Mike would say "so thats it?, where not together anymore because I made a dumbass decision?" Mike shouted. "Don't talk to me until Norah has forgiven you and you dropped those loser friends of yours." Jet spat, slamming the door behind him.

Jet walked back in, the cold air from the AC hit him in the face. He could feel his throat locking up and his eyes burning. Did he really just do that? "What the actual fuck happend between you and my brother?" Andrew asked. Jet blinked, feeling tears drip down his face. "I think it's time for use to leave, it was a nice dinner but we outstayed our welcome." Jet said, glancing at Andrew then to his brothers. "What did Mike do to norah?, you can tell me" Andrew questioned. Jet looked behind him, seeing mike glaring and him through the window sent chills up his spine. "I'd love to talk more, but we really have to go now." Jet said, walking towards Steven and Toby who looked worried. Norah would walk downstairs sitting on the stairs looking at jet and saying "Im sorry for being such a shit sister andrew and mike" as mike overheard from coming back from outside and mike would say "oh.." andrew would say "si-" as norah would walk back upstairs and slam her door she would be breaking down from the amount of pain she has from the stuff mike told her and andrew would say "Jet, what the fuck, happened?" he would stare at jet not knowing why norah was upset. Jet would shake his head, tugging on Steven's sleeves. "Let's go, please?" Jet meant for it to be a statement, but it ended up coming out as a question. Steven put his hand on Jet's shoulder. "Er- yeah, I guess it is getting pretty late." He said, looking up at Andrew. Andrew would say "So my sister fights with my brother and now im left in the dust why my FUCKING sister is hurt by my brother and his own GODAMN boyfriend wont speak up and say anything Norah's a fucking mess mike is just a mess in a half and i get no answers" Andrew would have tears bottling up in his eyes but then over hear to Norah screaming "GOD CANT I FUCKING GET A BREAK?" as they would watch andrew stomp upstairs to his room Norah's mom would say "Im sorry for Andrew Norah and Mike, there just." norah's mom would pause "there just angry". Jet would bury his face into Steven's chest. "Uhm, it's alright? I think we should leave though, I'm sorry for the trouble we've caused." Steven said and Toby nodded in agreement. Norah's mom would say "Thank you, and i'm sorry about my kids and you guys caused no trouble!". Mrs and Mr Lacey came in from the porch, looking around. "I heard yelling, what's going on?" Mrs.Lacey asked politely. Norah's Mom would say "Norah andrew jet and mike all got into a small argument" Norah's Mom and dad said. Mr. Lacey shook his head. "My son is always causing trouble, we apologize for upsetting your kids." Jet's father said, pointing out towards the door. "All three of you go out to the car, we're having a talk on the ride home." He said coldly. Norah's Mom and dad would say "Thank you, will talk to our kids to see what happened, and dont be sorry"

As they would watch the lacey's leave Norah's Mom and Dad would say "Andrew, Mike, Norah downstairs" Norah would say "coming mom" as they would be downstairs norah's dad would say "so, what happened" andrew would say "Jet got all pissy with mike!" Norah would say "and i have a shit fucking brother" norah would also say "Mike wanna tell them about the fact you shoved my head down a toilet" Mike would say "OH SHUT THE FUCK UP NORAH!" Both of there parents would say "OK OKOK WHAT HAPPEND?" Mike would say "i was rude to norah for pop-" Norah would say "yeah and i told jet about it" Andrew would say "oh piss off mike, you told me your grand SCHEME plan to ruin norah's-" Mikes mom would say "Mike your grounded" mike would say 'BUT-" mikes mom would say "no buts, you are grounded for almost running your sisters life" Norah would say "THATS WHAT YOU GET SHIT HEAD!" Norah's mom would say "NORAH!" Mike would say "FUCK OF YOU PEICE OF SHIT!"
