❝He wanted to raise a pulse, but not just any pulse, no, it had to be her pulse. That way, when they looked at each other, their pulses would rise together.❞
As he stared at her, the girl he has been in love with for the past few years, he noticed how her hands shook slightly.
She was afraid.
Her pulse was going crazy, trying to steady her heart beat; it was telling her to relax.
She finished her speech and went to claim her seat beside him, brushing against his skin as she did so. The temptress sat down gracefully and slowly, she was still full of nervous energy. He felt the sudden need to hug her, to reassure her that everything was going to be okay; it was only a speech.
But it might be a bit strange if he abruptly drew her to his chest, she didn't even know who he was, so he settled for the next best thing.
'You were amazing.'
She stiffened, and he heard her heart beat pick up speed. He smiled slightly.
'I suppose so.' Lindsay's angelic voice responded. He had the sudden urge to shiver.
'You do realise it's only high school, right? You won't see anybody ever again.' He attempted to reassure her.
'I suppose you're right.' She huffed out and allowed her shoulders to sag.
'What are you doing later?'
'Nothing... Why?' She questioned.
'I'm having a birthday party tonight, would you like to come?'
This time she turned to face him completely, and that's when he realised he was sporting a teasing grin.
'What makes you think that I actually want to go? My parents actually taught me about stranger danger.'
He smiled wholeheartedly. 'Yeah you're right. For all I know you could be a serial killer. Best not to risk it.'
Lindsay chuckled and dropped her head to rest on her hands, which were crossed over the table.
'Just tell me the place and the time and I'll be there.' She replied as the bell went off.
He really wanted to kiss her.

He heard his bedroom door shut, as he rushed to get out of the shower. He wrapped the fluffy, green towel around his hips as he went to check on the being that dare disturb his shower time. He opened the wooden door and his mouth dropped open. In front of him stood the star of his dreams.
She was wearing skinny jeans and a checkered, purple, flannel shirt. Her feet were covered by black, ankle doc martins. Her hair wasn't in its usual curls, instead, her waist-length, auburn hair was straightened to her waist. Her face was clear of makeup except for the winged eyeliner that made her teal eyes stand out and the lip-gloss that made her plump lips irresistible.
In all honesty, he was ready to throw her on his bed and kiss her senseless.
Her eyes darted around his room until her gaze settled on him. He was leaning against the bathroom doorframe, his legs and arms crossed. He saw her eyes roam his body just as well as he felt it. It took all of his self-control to stay where he was.
His gaze dropped to her lips where her tongue darted out to moisten them.
Then he lost it.
He straightened himself up, and in three long strides he had her up against his wall. Her eyes full of lust and her breathing erratic. He clasped her hand with his and held it above her head against the wall.
'You came.'
She nodded her head, the movement so minor he thought he imagined it. His body was flush against hers, he could feel every curve and every angle of her body. And he was pretty sure she could feel what she was doing to him.
He started trailing kisses down her neck and he felt the strong grip of her hand around his neck as he did so. She was pushing him closer, holding him in place so he would leave.
'Harry.' The temptress moaned.
He pulled back for a whole two seconds before kissing her lips. He grabbed both her legs and wrapped them around his waist as the sparks and fireworks grew stronger. Her hands were tugging on his hair as he walked them towards the double bed. He laid her down, ever so slowly as he continued to kiss her. Their tongues met and danced together as he rocked against her, their teeth clashed against each other as they tried to deepen the kiss. He was going crazy.
He grabbed her and pulled her upwards, towards his pillows as his hands found a way under her shirt. Her hands were roaming his chest, leaving a trail of fire as she did so.
He pulled back suddenly and rested his head against the nape of her sweet, sweet neck, remembering where he was, what he was wearing and what he had to do. Her hands were now ruffling his hair as he thought of a valid reason not to just fall asleep with her cradled against his chest. He lifted his head and rested his forehead against hers, his darkened, brown eyes meeting her teal ones. She was breathing heavily, trying to grant her lungs the gift of air. Their pulses were beating as one and that small fact alone had him smiling.
'You look amazing.' He broke the silence after he had regained his breath.
Her lips lifted at the corners.
'You kissed me as if you were a cavemen and all you have to say is "you look amazing"?' She chuckled, and shook her head in disbelief.
'What else do you want me to say? Do you want me to say what's really on my mind?' He questioned, she gulped loudly and nodded her head.
'Fine,' he continued 'I really want to lock us in here and not leave until I hear you scream my name. I want to kiss those plump lips of yours until you can't think rationally. I want to strip every article of clothing you're wearing off and kiss your body from head to toe.' He saw her eyes close as she pressed her lips together. She was thinking about it. 'I want to stay with you,' he pecked her lips and rested his lips against hers, 'forever.'
She drew in a shaky breath and nodded.
'Okay.' She whispered.
He drew back and raised an eyebrow.
'Okay,' she clarified, 'as long as I get to eat, you take me on dates and the occasional outings.'
She was messing with him. Even a fool would notice that.
'Now take me downstairs before I actually hide here and don't attend your party at all.' She continued. 'But get dressed first, or else you won't get your birthday present.'
'But I already received my gift.' Her eyebrow perked up. 'I got you.'
He lowered his head in an attempt to kiss her, but she pushed his shoulders back and got up off the bed.
'If you continue the way you are going, you won't unwrap me for a very long time.'
His eyes widened and he ran off the bed, opening his draw to grab clothes. He then ran to the bathroom to dress. He walked out of the bathroom two minutes later.
'Let's go, gorgeous, we have a party to attend.'
She smiled as he drew her to his chest and kissed her forehead. He opened the bedroom door and they walked downstairs.
They would be back in his bedroom soon and then they might finish what they started.
He was just wondering how the towel never fell off his hips during the encounter.
