"The Real Reason." (Chapter 7 )

Giyuu quietly hopped and hopped from trees, trying to find the actual reason why all three of them were sent to this cold destination. While he was running, Shinobu was in a middle of a fight.

The demon, furious, tried jumping on top of Shinobu, but she dodged with grace. Her sword stabbing right through the demons neck.

"Butterfly dance: Caprice." The woman said calmly, the poison already infuriating the blood in the demon, making the monster gag and cough its own blood. Shinobu looked at it with no smile, nor emotion.

"Takei.. Sumiko? You were a lower moon 4 demon. I'm actually quite disappointed in your power, not like it compares to an upper moon level, though." Shinobu chuckled, making the poisoned demon try to claw at her, but failed.

"Sayonara."

Rengoku walked with Akaza throughout the white forest. It was calm and delicate. The snow crunched as they walked, and animals scattered throughout the woods.

"Kyojuro, if I was invincible too the sunlight, then I could do this with you for hours. Its beautiful here, right?" The upper moon gently grabbed the hashira's hand, then walked at their pace. Both of them looking at the moonlight above.

"Yea...I know--" Rengoku cut of his sentence by something he heard in the background.

It was soft, yet loud. It sounded like water hitting the ground, or rain.

'GIYUU!'

Giyuu jumped out from the dark and attacked Akaza, but Rengoku deflected the attack. Protecting the demon.

"What are you doing, Kyojuro?" Giyuu stared at the two. Holding his nichirin blade in his right hand, then his left. He wanted an answer, a quick one.

"Wait, Giyuu.. Akaza.. Is nice. He has not attacked me ever since, and he's.." Kyojuro stumbled over his words, but Giyuu ignored them and went ahead and tried to go for Akaza's head, but he blocked it, the attack going straight to Kyojuro instead.

Rengoku blocked it in time, making the two argue.

"Akaza isn't like Nezuko you bastard! Its an upper moon 3, Kyojuro! Dont get them mixed up, you dimwit!" Giyuu yelled, pushing his blade against Kyojuro harder before Rengoku kicked him away.

"Well maybe if you let me explain for a second, then maybe you will understand why im not dead yet." Kyojuro said, before Giyuu understood and stopped.

"Ok...Akaza somehow fell in love with me on the first day we met, when we fought. After that, I did too. And eventually I had sex with him.. Two times now.. I even told Shinobu this as well. She kept it secret for my safety. And I did too. We exchanged both of our secrets so we could protect them. Hers is not that important really but mine is! Please trust me Giyuu!" The flame pillar stomped on the snow to assert his dominance, Giyuu simply sighed.

"Hm. Fine. But, Akaza...Hurt him one bit and your head will be collected." The water hashira said with a scratchy voice. His tone harsh. 

Shinobu then walked in on the three, surprised.

"So, Giyuu knows about your secret now?" Shinobu put her blade into her casing. Kyojuro nodded as Akaza just watched.

"Akaza, the sun is rising soon, find shelter.." Kyojuro turned to the demon, kissing them on the neck softly. Akaza nodded.

"Okay, see you tonight.. Again, Kyojuro~" Akaza said before jumping away into the darkness of the forest.

The Hashira's returned to the Corps. It was day. They were exhausted.

"Shinobu. Kyojuro told me you had a secret. What is it? We don't keep secrets unless its really personal." Giyuu pondered. Shinobu kept her silence for a few seconds before turning over to the water hashira. 

"I've kept this from you ever since, Giyuu, so I dont know if I can--"

"Trust me, Shinobu. I barely talk to anybody else anyways." The water hashira held eye contact with the insect hashira, before she exploded.

"I'VE HAD A CRUSH ON YOU! FINE!" Shinobu made Giyuu jump, as Shinobu never yelled before unless she was serious. Giyuu's eyes perked open, making him drop his own nichirin blade he was holding.

'What?'

'Shinobu-Sama really likes me?'

'I thought she was joking..'

Giyuu was stuck in thought until Shinobu jolted him back awake with just a poke.

"Im sorry-- Giyuu Its okay if you don't like me back! We can stay as friends if you'd like.." Shinobu had a different tone in her voice then usual. It was clear she was upset already, even though Giyuu hasn't even expressed himself.

"No no--- Shinobu, do you really like me? Are you joking?" 

"Yes I do Giyuu! I swear..."

Giyuu and Shinobu looked at each other with different expressions. Giyuu had a confused one, Shinobu had mixed feelings.

"Fine, Shinobu. I do-- I do like you back...How do I express this? I have not expressed my feelings like this before." Giyuu took a step closer to Shinobu. Shinobu didn't move at all. She just continued to stare at Giyuu.

Shinobu's eyes widened and her face turned into a bush of roses. Red. Giyuu noticed it and touched her cheeks.

'I cannot believe this. It has to be a dream.'
