K-Ci's Annual Holiday Party

Tonight was K-Ci's annual holiday party and Devante told me to meet him at the apartment but I didn't see him. He knows parties aren't my thing and the fact that he didn't come and pick me up tonight annoyed me a little bit. But, I decided to try to have a good time despite feeling like all I wanted to do was go home. As I walked over to the drink table I heard a familiar voice.

"Well isn't it my favorite stuck-up ass sister-in-law!", Dalvin exclaimed. Dalvin was so fucking annoying but in an adorable little brother kind of way.

"And isn't it my favorite annoying ass can't get no bitches brother-in-law!", I replied giving him a hug.

"That's a good one Whitley, you're getting better with your insults", Dalvin said laughing. He continued, "Do you want me to get you a drink? Something to eat? This nigga Ced got the partied CATERED this year! Niggas are big time!" he exclaimed.

Dalvin is such a damn character and clown, laughing at him also made me ignore the fact DeVanté was ignoring me all day and didn't even pick me up for the damn party that was his idea.

"A glass of champagne would be great Dal, and I'm not really hungry but thanks for offering", I said.

I turned to check my reflection in the mirror and of course, I loved what I saw. I officially stopped getting my hair straightened and learned how to make my curls flow naturally. Tonight I opted for a short red dress with black fur around the collar and sleeves, I finished the look with black stockings and my classic Chanel Stiletto heels. I quickly fluffed my hair and fixed my lipstick as Dalvin walked back over with my drink.

As he handed me my drink, I decided to ask the question that I really wanted the answer to, "Dal, where is Donald?" I could hear the annoyance in my own voice.

"Ummmm that's a good question Drew that I don't have the answer to", he replied meekly.

I felt like Dalvin was lying to me but I didn't press the subject. I walked around and casually mingled with the guests when I spotted Mary and Misa coming out of the bathroom.

"Drew!" Mary exclaimed, " I didn't know you were here! You know Misa right?" she asked.

I gave them both a hug and replied to her question, "Yeah. Justin's mother. We've met a few times. How is the big boy doing? Puff always shows me pictures of him", I asked.

Misa smiled shyly and replied, "He's been good, thanks for asking. I know you're Puff's friend and all and our breakup wasn't the best so I hope this isn't weird for you."

I finished my glass of champagne and chuckled, "Girl I love Sean like a brother but his personal affairs are not my business. You've always been cool and nice to me and that's all that matters. And trust, I am not one to get in the middle of anything. I don't gossip and I don't insert myself into things that don't concern me. We girls and that's my bro. And that's it", I replied. Mary nodded her head in agreement. I've tried my best to keep neutral in the never-ending cycle of drama that Is her and Kci's relationship.

"Thanks for understanding girl and just being a cool ass bitch in general. You know how women be, acting weird behind niggas for no reason", she said laughing.

I laughed with her and Mary and replied, "Oh yeah I understand. It's not even that deep".

"Speaking of niggas, where's DeVanté?" Mary asked.

We walked over to the bar and I grabbed another glass of champagne, chugging it down in two seconds. Mary and Misa raised their eyebrows.

"Girl I don't know and after a few more glasses of champagne and maybe a shot I won't care. He's been ducking my calls all day. Didn't wanna pick me up for the party and has just been acting weird since Thanksgiving. Everything was all good until it wasn't. Him and these mood swings.. they're so irritating", I replied honestly.
