Jennifer walked out of the dim math classroom into the bright sunlight and a fresh breeze whipped her dark brown braided hair around. She walked back to the lockers and grabbed her skateboard from locker 106. She slammed the locker and ran to catch up with Maddie, Lindsay, Matt, and Jack. Maddie and Lindsay pulled their skateboards from their bags as soon as they saw Jennifer. Maddie's skateboard was deep blue with "Matt+Maddie" etched on it, while Lindsay's was light pink with the names of a bunch of singers painted neatly on it in purple paint. Jack and Matt were waiting for the girls by the big pitch, and each on their skateboards too. Unlike the girls' skateboards they had very random boards and hadn't added anything to theirs. Jack's board was black with little white skulls on it; Matt's was identical but in blue and red. Maddie threw down her board as soon as she got to the boys and so did Lindsay. Jennifer looked back to realize the boys had already left with Maddie and Lindsay.
"No fair guys! You started before me, wait up!" Jennifer yelled after the group.
She slipped on her black headphones and started playing her favorite album on her iPhone as she dashed off on her skateboard. Nodding her head to the beat of the song as she tried to catch up.
