I was a small group leader across the country because of COVID

And my friend asked me to combine small group with another leader since I had only 3 members

At first I was a bit reluctant because I did not like the other leader but I went along anyway

Then I saw you

You were still a Freshmen while I was a Junior

I remember thinking that you were cute

With your messy curls and puffy little cheeks

And your welcoming smile and outgoing personality

Somehow I felt a sense of familiarity with you

You showed us this bunny ears you brought from home

Hoping to give to your future girlfriend

I thought about if that girl would be me

But blocked it out because you were just a freshmen

I didn't think much of it, other than what if you became a small group leader next year

Because I saw a great number of potential in you

And you did apply and got accepted
