The next day...

As the sun slowly rises from the horizon, sharing its low heat with the living beings on Earth, the birds keep chirping, and the breeze is cool to the skin, making that dark elf woke up with a groan when he realizes that the warmth he's been holding all night long was no longer there.

"Cale?"

Through his muddled mind, Alver looked around in search of his lover, only to get so heartbroken when he couldn't find the redhead anywhere.

'Was it all just a dream?'

He's upset.

But judging from how bad his hangover is, it wouldn't be so far-fetched to have this delusional memory.

However, much to his delight, he soon hears his favorite person entering the room.

"Now, just what are you dazing about, your highness?"

Soulless it might sound, Alver was more than happy to hear his stoic lover's voice.

"Cale!"

The redhead groaned.

"Gosh, no need to be so loud. It's still too early. And shouldn't you be dizzy?" Cale complained as he put down the tray of breakfast on the nightstand, complete with water and Alver's hangover med.

"Ehehe..." That dark elf sheepishly chuckled, "I'm just glad that it was not a dream. You're home!"

"That, I am." Kissing the sweaty forehead, Cale knows that his lover won't be completely alright in the morning, and thus he went to cook the emperor some Haejangguk and even grab him some pills to consume.

"I just went for a bit to grab your breakfast; didn't mean it to take this long actually."

Yawning at his palm, Cale also felt tired still from yesterday, therefore he excuses himself to get back to the bed and lay down.

"Eh?" Alver blinked, "Just mine? where's yours?"

"Already stole some while cooking earlier." In a sleepy tone, Cale made himself comfortable on his side of the bed, "Now, be a good boy and eat yours, ok? I'm just gonna steal some nap before Choi Han picks me up for the next meeting."

Hearing that his lover almost grumbling at the mention of more works, Alver just hummed a soft thanks to the tired male, ruffling his head fondly in gratitude.

Alver was thinking just how lucky he is to be chosen by Cale despite how the other have so many people desiring him to be their partner when he suddenly heard the redhead mumble—

"Oh yeah, before I forgot"

"Hmm?" That brunet hummed curiously.

"—to answer your question last night."

'My question...?'

The memory of last night was blurry and not focused in his head. However, his face slowly turned pale as he heard more from Cale.

"If I were to marry that White-shit, it's likely that we'll keep our names and let others call us by our surnames instead. Hope that clears up your curiosity."

—In all honesty, he could have just ignored that stupid question and moved on. But no, Alver was being ridiculous and Cale is petty like that.

People say curiosity kills the cat. Well, in this case, that brunet regretted jinxing himself to be the said cat...

Meanwhile, satisfied as he knows well the damage he caused, Cale fell asleep with a smile while Alver was left to deal with more headaches he had brought to himself.
