Escape

"So what's your big plan now, Mothman?" Dr.Venture snorted and the Monarch pointed his finger at him ragefully,

"It's the Monarch! And I'll have you know I have a dastardly plan B!"

Beneath Dr.Venture, the floor opened up to reveal a pool full of what looked to be sharks. Despite the imminent danger, Rusty still looked unamused, and almost bored at the situation.

"Sharks! Why is it always sharks with you people? What, do they have laser beams attached to their heads?"

The Monarch glared at Dr.Venture and raised a remote in the air, "No! They're just ill tempered and extremely hungry. As soon as I pull this lever, you'll slowly be lowered into the water, where they'll tear you limb from limb!"

"Is... is that one dead?" Dr.Venture asked confusedly and looking down at the pool, Dr.Girlfriend turned to look at him and ask,

"How long has it been since the henchmen fed them?"

"I don't know..." The Monarch rubbed the back of his neck guiltily, "We had to make sure they were hungry-"

"You starved the sharks?" Dr.Girlfriend was starting to get frustrated now, "Do you have any idea how hard it was to even get these?"

"I'm sorry sweetie- hey, wait! Who the hell are you?!" The Monarch started to apologize to Dr.Girlfriend before noticing that someone had slunk into the room. A woman in a red catsuit and mask had managed to sneak in and was now starting to cut at the rope holding Dr.Venture with a knife.

"Henchmen! Get her!"

The Monarch looked over to see that many of the henchmen were missing and gritting his teeth he asked, "Where is everyone?! Someone stop her!"

Dr.Venture looked up to see the rope being cut and eyes widening with horror he shouted,

"Hey! Don't drop me!"

The rope was severed and Dr.Venture screamed with fear. Grabbing the rope, the woman swung Dr.Venture from side to side until eventually, he landed with a thud on the floor beside the pool. Landing on the ground beside him, the woman stared at the Monarch with squinted eyes.

"You can't kidnap my arch! Get your own!"

The woman wearing red slung Dr.Venture, whose limbs were bound over her shoulder and then ran off, down a hall and towards the exit. Staring daggers at her the Monarch shouted after her as she escaped,

"You just made the biggest mistake of your life, for you have set in motion the rage of the mighty-! and... she's gone."

The Monarch turned to Dr.Girlfriend out of disbelief,

"Do you know who that was? She looked like a supervillain!"

"I've never seen her before in my life." Dr.Girlfriend admitted and then crossed her arms over her chest,

"Maybe she's new to the Guild? If she is, she clearly has no idea what she's doing."

Suddenly, screams could be heard from down the hall and eyes widening with worry, the Monarch asked,

"Great, what's she doing now?!"

A henchman flew down the hallway and after landing on the floor, he crawled away, blood running down his face from his nose.

"Samson... Samson's here."

Charging down the hall and into the open, Brock saw the Monarch and darted forward, grabbing him by the neck and lifting him off the ground,

"Alright, where is he?"

"Ack!" The Monarch coughed and waved his hands innocently, "Look, if you would've been here ten minutes ago I would've been able to help you but somebody's already beat you to the punch."

Throwing the Monarch to the ground, Brock glared down at him and asked,

"You expect me to buy that?"

"It's true." Dr.Girlfriend huffed, turning her nose to the air. "Some crazy woman in a catsuit just showed up and took him away. We didn't even have time to really stop her."

The Monarch rubbed his neck painfully and turning away from them, Brock turned to leave, obviously worried about something. As he approached the hallway, she asked one last question,

"What did the lady look like?"

The Monarch has stood up from off of the floor and was now dusting himself off tiredly,

"I don't know... she wore a catsuit, had short hair... totally off her rocker though."

Now worried without showing it, Brock immediately thought about Myra and tried to use his communicator watch to contact Dr.Venture.
