How can someone fall in love everyday and enjoy every moment of it?
How can someone be certain of their future with what and who they have right now?
Just how can someone be so sure of their present?
"Nakita ko si Thirdy ah," says Ate Den when we saw each other at training.
"Hmmm? Where Ate?" I answered trying to recall if he made paalam ba yesterday.
"Sa UPTC, saw him at a restaurant," she said while looking at the nothingness in front of her.
Silence.
"Alam mo ba yun?" Ate Den asked.
"I'm trying to remember Ate kung nagpaalam ba siya kahapon pero parang wala eh," I said while looking at her.
She then looked at me.
Silence again.
Napaisip tuloy ako about it. Sino kaya kasama nun? Anong ganap? I'm so clueless.
After training, umuwi ako agad sa condo because I'm so tired —physically and mentally. I just want to lay and sleep.
I woke up because of a call from the lobby, may food delivery daw for me.
It's from my boyfriend, Thirdy. He can't see me this lunch because of some errands so he decided to grab food for me.
How thoughtful.
Caitlyn calling...
"Hello Cait," I answered.
"San ka?"
"Condo lang. Why?"
"Eh san si Thirdy?"
"Hmm? Sabi kanina may inaabyad daw for his visa. Why?"
"Di sinabi san siya punta? Sino kasama?"
"Cait, what's up ba? Bakit daming tanong?" I asked impatiently.
"Kita tayo? SB?"
"Ano bang meron?"
"Basta kita tayo. I'll give you 30 minutes to prepare. Sunduin ba kita dyan?"
"Uhh, I can drive Caitlyn in case you forgot."
She laughed, an awkward one. "See you."
Weird.
What's happening?
After an hour or so, nasa harap ko na si Caitlyn.
"Anong meron?"
"Ha?" she answered.
Lutang pa kausap ko.
"Are you okay, Beibei?"
"Ang weird mo today, Cait."
"I'm asking you nga how are you eh tapos weird pa ako," Cait said then pout her lips.
"Fine. I'm okay?"
"Ayy di ka sure? Is there something bothering you?"
I smiled, a sad one.
"Cait, I'm fine. I'm okay,"
"Fine ba talaga o pinipilit na lang maging okay?"
With that remark, I looked at her with my misty eyes.
Then I smiled again.
"I'm okay."
Caitlyn hugged me.
"Thank you, Cait. You don't know how much it means to me," I said as I hugged her back.
After that, I went back home. Naabutan ko pa si Thirdy sa living area.
