Lub dub. Lub dub. Lub dub. Hannah's heart raced loudly through her ears. Loud enough for her to believe that even the walls of the cave would be able to hear it. Her body trembled and shook with fear. Her eyebrows knotted tightly together whilst she stood. Unwillingly bound to her spot next to Solomon. Unable to see how he could be so okay with this. He wasn't even breaking a sweat!
Solomon pants out. His hands on his knees as he squats slightly as if to stretch. The man really did believe he didn't have to explain any of this. He liked that it fed Hannah's nerves just as much as he liked how sadistic it was to have it spur him on. Daring him almost to trace the engraved letters.

Hannah tried to hide how much she wanted to throw up at how Solomon, who was usually an over-compensator when it came to apologies, refused to say anything. Probably in disgust towards her which she felt would be all too convenient for the way that she has behaved.
Sarah. Sarah. Sarah. Feeling guilt flowing through her, Hannah bowed her head. Painfully realising that it's her lover who she hadn't stopped thinking about since she regained consciousness. Her Sarah who was so conscious of her way with the land. Her Sarah who always seemed to know what to do and would be ready to fight for her at the drop of a hat.

She gulped. Trying to wet her throat that was already completely dry.
When she thought about praying, she prayed for Sarah, and for herself not to turn into one of Solomon's puppets. She was naïve to think about telling Solomon that someone will stop him. She didn't dare too. Instead taking another look at his twisted engravings.
"You can't tell anyone." He spits, noticing. Trying to sound threatening. He didn't feel he had a lot of weight over Hannah Miller, that if she was to hit him or hurt him or even threaten to, he wouldn't be able to defend himself.
He reiterates. "Not a soul." Before leading with a "Union will find and kill Sarah."
He hides a shaky exhale. Leaving his wall behind to look at Hannah sorrily. "You won't be able to tell anyone, anyway."

Breathe in, out. In...out. In. Out. In. Out. She wondered if she was already dead. Or if this was some sick ploy to mock or intimidate her before she was hung. Or if this was even what she deserved for letting Sarah Fier have her way with her. After all, they couldn't ever be girlfriends. Let alone wives.
Tears fell down her face. It was all useless anyway; he already had all the control here.
She heaves when he tries to touch her again, trying to cup her cheek. "You are sick."
It comes out as a mutter. Makes him laugh. Then she is recoiling again and realising that she is sick or coming down with something due to the abuse. Unable to move the way she wants to be able to. Paralysed on the spot.
Sarah trips when she enters the entrance to the tunnels. She falls on shattered bone, her hands landing in mud. Thick mud. She knows it's not the worst she's encountered but can't not check her hands after seeing the widow dead just about half a mile from Solomon's house. She let's out a small sigh before realising that they were still dirtied the way they had been before. Giving a small smile and nod to herself before going to investigate further.
Her heart was also beating just as fast as Hannah's was, somewhere deep down in the tunnel's underneath Solomon's house. She had this pit of dread in her stomach that was making her tread slower. More carefully. One of her hands clamping around the handle of her knife. Clutching it tightly.
