Narrator pov

You were walking towards the school as Riku was chilling in your hair. You were drinking a can of juice while you walked with some more spring in your step. Riku was chirping a cheery song as you smiled at his antics.

Y/N:( You seem cheery today!)

Riku:( How could I not be!? You are training to be a Star Guardian. Not to mention your a support now, so I can't wait to see what you do!)

Y/N:( You say that Supports are rare. Are they?)

Riku:( They sort of are? It's hard to say. They said that support type Guardians are becoming more and more uncommon as of late.)

Y/N: ( They said?)

Riku:( Other Guardians. Before I came to you, I was told my mission and other details. But they talked a lot about missing supports.)

Y/N:( Why? Can't they just make more?)

Riku:( It is a lot more complicated than that, you know that.)

Y/N: ( That's true, but don't they have any influence on the powers at all?)

Riku:( I don't believe so...)

Y/N:( I see...)

You looked forward to seeing the school in front of you as you walked a little faster to get ahead of the traffic going into the building. You went into the front as you put your shoes at the front as you walked over to your classes.

You felt someone staring back at you, almost like someone was watching you, as you quickly looked behind. You saw a girl, A Vastayan Girl with huge bird-like ears, she didn't have her uniform jacket on as it was wrapped around her waist.

Y/N: You must be Xayah, right?

Xayah:... Awfully observant of you.

Y/N: Oh, I'm Y/N, But I think you already-

Xayah: Listen, I don't know what you think you're doing, but you should probably stop.

Y/N: What?

Xayah: You come into our lives, and you expect everyone to just let you in, treat you perfectly don't you?

Y/N: I never-

Xayah: You have no idea what being a Star Guardian is like, you have no idea. Just because you just became one, doesn't make you anything.

Y/N:... I see...

Xayah: You might as well quit while you're ahead.

Y/N: What!?

Xayah: What do you think happened to our last few members? Same confidence, same idea of being some big shot. And you know what happened to them?

Y/N:...

Xayah: Dead. Nothing more to it. This team has it bad enough, we don't need someone like you messing it all up.

Y/N: Someone like me?

Xayah:... We don't need any more mistakes.

That last bit hurt as she walked away. You turned around as she was walking away. The words didn't hurt too bad, but it just made you feel a little bit worse.

Riku:( Oh that mean bird! I can't believe we come from the same species! Are you ok, Y/N?)

Y/N:( Yeah... I need to talk to her.) Xayah, wait!

You walked towards Xayah as she turned around, however the moment she did she tripped on her own foot as she fell forward onto the floor. You looked away as you heard her attempting to get up.
