Kimi groaned as she sat up, her hand going to her head. "Ugh, what the hell."

She looked around, standing up to dust herself off. It was dark and the only source of light was coming from the full moon. The wind began blowing, making eerie noises and a chill ran down her spine, forcing her to shiver as she looked around. Her eyes widened as she realized where she was and she began laughing nervously.

"Yeaaa. This is totally a dream. I've been writing too much. There's no way in hell that I'm actually inside of my own story."

A cold hand grabbed her wrist and she flinched at the cool touch, turning quickly as she came face to face with a handsome boy. She immediately knew who he was.

"Oh fuck. I'm so screwed."

"What's a pretty girl doing alone out here all by herself?"

"I-I woke up here. I'm not entirely sure how... The last thing I remember was falling."

"You're bleeding."

"Listen I just wanna go home. Please don't kill me."

The boy raised a brow as he stared at her, his dark onyx eyes becoming a bright red. Kimi flinched at the sight of them as he leaned down, licking her forehead. She blushed as her eyes widened and she pushed him back.

"H-Hey! You can't just go around licking people's foreheads! It's rude, you know!"

"Yes, but your wound is closed now. You're welcome."

The girl reached up, touching her forehead, her head tilting sideways. The boy stepped closer again, a smirk now prominent on his beautiful face.

"So, I believe you owe me now."

Someone dropped down behind them, chuckling. "My, my Sasuke. You're being awfully nice to this girl. Normally you drink them dry. Is something wrong?"

"She tastes different from anyone else I've ever tasted. She's special. So," his eyes flickered from the man behind Kimi and then back to her, locking with her own eyes. "With grandfather's permission, I'd like to keep her."

Kimi blinked and rolled her eyes, "Um, hello? I'm a human being not a fucking pet!"

Suddenly he was in front of her, his hands on her hips as he stared into her eyes. She swallowed hard, biting her lip as she stared back. He spoke, not bothering to look away from her.

"Obito, prepare a room for her. She'll be staying with us. She has no choice, seeing as how she's lost."

"Of course, Sasuke."

"Hey, what's your name?"

"K-Kimiko. But everyone calls me Kimi."

"What a beautiful name. Now, in order to repay me for being so nice, I need to eat. Stay still."

Before she could react, fangs slid from Sasuke's gums and he sank them into her neck. A gasp left her lips as her knees went weak. She had to grab his shirt to keep herself from falling. She felt uneasy at the euphoric feeling she was getting from what was happening - it felt unnatural to her.

Her heart began to race, trying to replace the blood as it was being taken from her. Her breathing became heavier as she began to whimper, trying to push him away, to no avail.

"Sasuke, that's enough! You're going to kill her!"

Sasuke pulled away at the sound of his older brother's voice, staring down at the girl. Itachi was next to him immediately, watching as blood ran from the fang wounds on the girl's neck. Sasuke stepped back as a hiss left his lips, his eyes widening.

"What happened? You lost yourself."

Sasuke's breathing grew heavier as his eyes faded back to their normal dark color. He shook his head and turned, disappearing into the woods without a word and Itachi sighed as the girl fell into him.

"Let's get you inside and cleaned up, miss."

"W-Wait. Is he.. going to be okay?"

"Sasuke? Yes of course. He just lost control again. It's been a while since it's happened so I suppose he just feels disappointed in himself. After all, he did nearly kill you."

Kimi swallowed hard, "He shouldn't feel bad. You're vampires right? It's in your nature to do things like that."

Itachi chuckled softly as he lifted the girl into his arms. She bit her lip as she moved her hair from her neck, noticing his red eyes.

"You can have some too. You look hungry. Sasuke looked at me like that before he sank his fangs into my neck."

"You're really calm and understanding for someone who was just bitten and almost drained dry by a complete stranger in the middle of the woods."

Kimi shrugged, smiling weakly, "I'm not from here. Where I'm from, vampires are mythical creatures. I've always wanted to meet one. Most of them are just misunderstood."

Itachi sighed as he stared at her, beginning to walk, "You don't know how you got here?"

Kimi shook her head, "No sir. The last thing I remember is falling until I blacked out. Then I woke up on the ground in the middle of this clearing."

"I see. Well you're lucky Sasuke found you and was generous enough to not take your life. Although, you don't smell like any human I've ever met."

"Sasuke said that I'm special. He also said he wanted to keep me, as if I was his pet."

Kimi snorted and rolled her eyes, pulling a soft chuckle from Itachi as he glanced down at the girl in his arms.

"Please forgive him. He doesn't do very well when it comes to socializing like the rest of us. He's very closed off."

Kimi sighed as she noticed her blood getting all over his clothes, "I'm bleeding all over your clothes, I'm sorry."

"Your biggest worry right now shouldn't be my clothes. Just remember that not all of them are as nice as I am. Nor will they show you the same kindness."

Kimi sighed as her eyes grew heavy, "This is my story so I call the shots. I'm not scared of any of you."

Itachi sighed, shaking his head as he watched Kimi's eyes close. He decided now to take on the burden of caring for and protecting her. He couldn't explain it but, there was something about the girl in his arms he couldn't shake.
