Somewhere in the Multiverse, there is a place where a God lived and watch over his creations.

This place is filled with books everywhere with no end.

Inside a humongous hall stood a young man in a daze.

This is Y/n.

After signing a contract with the system, Y/n found himself in this humongous place filled with books.

He looked around for any sign of life but failed.

Suddenly, he heard a voice coming from above. Y/n looked up and saw a young child wearing a traditional Japanese kimono. It was white with a tinge of gold on the hem of the kimono.

It was majestic yet fancy.

Hym: Welcome to the Hall of Multiverse, I am Hym, the God of all.

Hym said while descending from above like the God that he is.

Y/n just stood there, still trying to process everything that is happening to him.

He got so many questions to ask God, but only one question left his mouth.

Y/n: Why me...?

He wanted to know why of all people, God chose him. He does not possess any power, not fast, and definitely not strong, and yet he was the one allowed to receive the blessing of a God in the form of a Multiversal System.

Hearing the question of the mortal in front of him made Hym chuckle ever so slightly.

Hym: Interesting question yet important. A single question that can answer a lot of questions just shows what kind of a person you are. But honestly speaking, I didn't choose you, the System did...

Hym said while circling Y/n and looking at him up and down.

Hym: Even I as a God, wonder why someone like you has been chosen by the Will of the Multiverse. Just what a mortal like you can offer?

Hym said while Y/n felt getting insulted by the harmless words of the God.

True, what can a mortal like him do in the face of otherworldly power? He was just a mortal that can die with just a flick of the hero's fingers in his world, more so the other world's powerhouses.

But what Hym said next shocked Y/n.

Hym: But what's the use of power in front of the system, right? Powers can be given but intelligence, braveness, and undying determination can't. What is the use of power if you can't utilize it to its maximum potential? It's just a waste of resources. But for someone like you with a thirst for power and a mind above your kind, maybe the System didn't make a mistake.

Hearing the God's word made Y/n feel warm in his chest. This is the first time that someone said those words to him except for his own mother.

Y/n always felt inferior to anyone, even how hard he tried, even how many written tests he aced, without awakened powers, he was always destined at the bottom of the food chain.

But hearing those words coming from God, maybe there is truly a reason for the System to choose him.

Hym: Enough with the introduction, it's time for the main topic.

Hym said while walking to one of the huge bookshelves and taking a single book.

Hym: Each book in this place represents life. Each book got its own characteristics and history. Each book contains its own evolution in a vast universe.

Hym said while holding the book in front of him, showing it to Y/n.

Y/n: So you mean that book, no-, all of these books contain different universes?

Y/n ask and God nodded in approval.

Hym: Explaining things verbally may take us a long time, which I don't have many. So let me take you to the secrets of the multiverse.

Hym said and hurriedly open the book he was holding. It suddenly flash a golden light, enveloping Y/n's body. Without any time to react, Y/n found himself falling into the sky where a strange world below appears.

Hym: In your world, humanity manage to overpower the monsters after the first outbreak, 65 years ago with the help of blessed individuals you called awakened or heroes. However, in the vast of the multiverse, not all worlds progress so smoothly.

Hym said and Y/n watched as the world below him got destroyed bit by bit by the sea of monsters. A lot of people are dying, and a lot of screams and pleas could be heard anywhere. The world was enveloped by chaos. Something not even Y/n can withstand.

Seeing the state of the world below him made him shudder in fear.

Hym: This world had faced what I call Ragnarok, in human terms, the end of the world. It's not just this world, there are many more worlds like this. Isn't tragic? The people of this world were alive just like you a while ago, but before they could even reach a proper conclusion, or aroused a grandeur ending, everything ended due to an unjust reason.

Hym said and close the book he was holding, pulling them back to reality.

Hym: That is Ragnarok. The thing you must prevent from happening.

Hym explained while looking at the panting mortal in front of him.

The God will not be surprised if Y/n wanted to vomit. Hym repeatedly shows Y/n images that normal people can't handle.

But it's the thing that must be done. If Y/n can't handle this simple matter, then he's not worthy of the Will of the Multiverse.
