A bicycle rides by puddles of water occasionally splashing them into the street.

The lights of the traffic shown on metal as they stop at a light as the wheel screeches to a halt.

The person riding the dark midnight blue was impatiently tapping their foot, desperately wanting to get home as they clutched a Game Stop shopping bag in their right hand and looked to the overclouded sky, revealing a [H/l] [H/C] haired girl no older than supposedly 14.

Her hooded pocket started to play a specific song as she quickly declined the call as to not get said device wet, and gave small, awkward smiles to those she had accidently disturbed.

'Yeah mom, I know, but it's currently raining so- ha no.' She thought with a pout. The girl mentally fist punched the air as the light said 'go' for those walking.

Usually it would be more of a downpour with a wall of dust but thankfully she had skipped it when she was getting the not-so-new demon slayer game Hinokami Chronicles, which laid inside the dampened bag she held ever so tightly.

She finally made that one turn and went to her driveway to put the bike away.

If you're wondering as to why she was allowed out this late, not to mention alone- she wasn't.

Her mom was out doing whatever for a friend on her side of their family 'nd stuff, so the [H/c]ette went to get something without her mother's permission. Oops.

Once she was in the house, the young girl took out her phone and called her mother back. "Hey sorry, I was- uh-" You looked around, trying to figure out a good excuse.

" I was washing dishes and couldn't get to my phone." The person on the other line went silent as you wondered if you accidently hung up. "[Name] you never do the dishes." Your mother said seriously as you went silent, sweat collected on your brow.

"I- well I was bored!" you said confidently, taking the disc from the bag and marching towards your Xbox to slide it in. "[Name]- ugh fine, you did the dishes. what I called you for in the first place is that I'll be staying here a little longer."

You finally got the disc into the console and you and your mother talked a bit more before she had to end call. When said call ended, you simply stared at the shiny device in your hand had with a straight face before switching to Spotify and grabbing a controller.

The usual Xbox sign came on and with it the apps for your other games. You clicked the Hinokami Chronicles, admiring the design before downloading it.

Of course since it was new you had to wait for some time and when it finally downloaded thanks to you taking your neighbor's WIFI, it was done.

Your [E/c] shined in excitement as you lick your bottom lip and accept all the standard terms of policy and what not.

To say you were amazed at the animation and voice acting was an understatement. The game would probably be good without it, but it just brought everything together.

After quite some time you reach the point where Tanjiro meets Yushiro and Tamayo.

Specifically when they were fighting Susamaru and Yahaba when you felt a headache coming on. You looked at the time and sure enough it was 3 in the morning.

Your shoulders had ached too, but it was bearable as you got up to get some [F/f] ice cream from the fridge.

As you got the bowl out, your headache worsened and your stomach ached, your legs trembled but what confused you was where this came from.

Unknown to you, the light from the TV had gotten considerably brighter as anyone who would pass your house saw it through the windows.

Before you could even process what was happening you blacked out, hearing a crash from the bowl in the background.
