You slowly fluttered your eyes open as you looked around, finding yourself siting up against a tree near by a gravel path. The surrounding areas around were covered in green fields as you breathed the hot air as birds chirped in the background.
You brought your hand up, blocking your [E/c] from the sun's rays, making your head pound even more as you did a cat-like stretch, hearing a few pops and cracks before opening your eyes once again. Your eyes scanned the area as you failed to correctly process where you exactly where and slowly got up, keeping your hand on the tree for support.
A yawn escaped your lips as you looked around one more time before finally shaking the sleepiness off and backed up into the tree at the rude awakening; your hands and arms getting scraped by the rough bark.
'This isn't home' was your first thought.
Actually no, your first thought was 'What the F*ck ' but nobody had to know that.
At first, you thought you were alone, which gave you both relief and a terrible feeling that made your gut churn. Relief, because you didn't have to ask a random stranger for directions! Panic, because you couldn't ask a random stranger for directions.
Coming to this resolution, tears pickled your eyes. Where were you supposed to go? Do I have to try and survive or is there a place. You're only a child and you were brought in, unannounced to this, new world that there wasn't anything you could do but let the tears take over before another head ache came along from keeping them all plugged up.
You were brought out of your panic attack as you looked behind you as a small 'snap' was heard. A farmer, roughly around his mid 30s, lugging a strange basket over his shoulder and a large sunhat covering his brow.
He was wearing some pretty strange clothes too, not to mention the cloth was ridiculously old fashioned but all in all looked pretty cool. You both just stared at each other, his shocked brown eyes contrasting your teary [E/c].
"𝙸-𝚞𝚖, 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚕𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝?" The man said, getting over his shock as a wave of concern fashed through him as he saw a child crying all alone. "𝙼𝚢, 𝚠𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚐𝚞𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚒𝚊𝚗𝚜, 𝚊 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚐 𝚕𝚊𝚍𝚢 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎."
Granted you were overwhelmed, the man had approached you so quickly it startled you and made sure to keep some space between you and the stranger.
You had no clue what he had just said. The words coming out of his mouth sounded something akin to gibberish as you glanced at him with something similar to fear.
The black haired man saw this and slowly sat down his basket, making sure not to startle you away as he gently pulled out a triangle of rice, something you recognized as an 'onigiri'. A dish that you were so familiar with but haven't tried yourself.
He offered you the rice treat, though you shied away, not taking things from strangers was a fact that your parents had pounded into your head since day 1.
Once more seeing your decline, he split a small piece off the onigiri and ate it, signaling that it was ok to eat. even though you were still doubtful, the man was trying hard to comfort you, despite his lack of knowledge about children.
You were interrupted from your thoughts as your stomach growled, though not loudly, but enough to let you know you need food.
Hesitantly you reached out your hand and quickly snatched the onigiri before something could happen; To which was not the man's intention, and and quickly ate it.
'hm, not bad"
