Let go of the past

Everyone dreams of being super-rich. There's something about having the option to buy or do whatever you want which appealed to me. I mean it would appeal to anyone really. The fancy food and fast cars, most people would go their whole life without experience pure luxury in their life.

Well I met the super-rich and he was so damn fine! It was on the 18th of September 2012 that I met him. I was in the second year of my degree and I didn't start my first semester until October. So I took this opportunity to have some harmless fun going clubbing with my first year cousin, Kay.

She had recently moved from the North to go to a university in the City. She was a year younger that me and quite naive. Having had first hand experience of what university guys were like, especially in the club setting, I decided to go with her as her 'wingman'. Little did I know that it would turn into a whole new adventure for me.

The only reason I had agreed to be her wingman is because I needed to stop brooding. In June 2012 I had gone through a nasty break up and spent the whole summer trying to fix things with someone who couldn't give a care in the world. The last couple of months before I had ended the relationship he just stopped talking to me. Stopped calling and texting. I have to admit I don't quite know why it took me so long to end things. After a while I decided I had enough and wasn't going to let this go on. I may have ended things with this guy but that didn't mean I didn't love him. I guess a part of me thought this would shake his foundations and make him realise how much he needs me. Apparently this wasn't the case.

This September was meant to be a fresh start. I wanted to have fun and be reckless! I wanted to meet guys, flirt, mess around (within limits ) and not have a care in the world. I wanted to be spoilt and taken care of with no strings and no relationships. So where else to get all that...clubbing of course.

On our first night out we decided to go clubbing with Kay's new flatmate Rex and his friend Nate. From the moment we met Nate I knew he was interested in my cousin. I Didnt blame him, my cousin was beautiful And tall, with long dark hair, Eyes the colour of milk chocolate and full lashes that framed her eyes like a masterpiece. Compared to my slight body frame and cute face, next to her i didn't stand chance. Nate on the other hand was neither amazing looking or ugly, but somewhere in the middle, my cousin could do better. However I wasn't going to point this out to get because by some crazy miracle she seemed to be showing an interest back.

Don't worry I didn't go all protective on Kay, even though I wanted to with her being like a little sharer to me and all. I just let her have fun, let him buy her drinks, talk , laugh, It all seemed harmless to me.

Halfway through the night we met up with some of my friends from High School in the club. After losing the boys in the crowd we decided to just forget about them and have fun.

4 jägerbombs later Kay got a text...

"come up to the VIP section. Nate x"

Eager to please her new crush she rushed up to the VIP section pulling me along with her.
