Kaminari's brief surge of genius was replaced with an overwhelming sense of dread. Doubt began to climb into his brain.
Was this a good idea?
This is so embarrassing.
What if Midoriya makes fun of me? After all, there's no need for him to treat me special because I'm sad. And once he finds out that Bakugo and the rest are the one's bullying me, he'll probably join in! Bakugo and Midoriya are childhood best friends!
He wanted to turn back, but a voice rang in his brain.
"Ask him to help you, you idiot." "Ask him to help you, you idiot." "Ask him to help-"
"Okay fine!" Kaminari caved in to his mind. With a great deal of reluctance, he slowly got out of bed, throwing the covers on the floor.
As he opened the door, he nearly slipped on a large puddle of water. Now, he really wanted to go back. Wasn't this a sign from some sort of god that asking Midoriya wasn't a good idea? "I guess I'll just see for myself." he thought. Walking from his room to Midoriya's room was a bit tough, and he had to avoid the puddles of water, but the walk strengthened his resolve to ask Midoriya to help him. "The worst he can do is say no!" he reminded himself. "It's not like I'll die if he says no."
But he would die. Of shame. Of completely flunking the finals and getting a 29.2% average, therefore proving Bakugo right. And that's precisely what he didn't want.
Turning to the left, he found himself face-to-face with Midoriya's door. He could practically smell All Might's aura seeping in through the door cracks. He walked in circles around Midoriya's door. He didn't have a watch, but it was definitely late at night, and everyone was probably sleeping. Maybe he should just go tomorrow-
No! There wouldn't be a tomorrow. He would say the same thing the next day, and the next until the day of the finals! They were a month and a half away. He had to start studying now. And that meant he had to ask Midoriya to help him now. God knew he probably wouldn't do anything by himself.
After a while, he brought his fist to the door in a knocking motion. He did that once. He did that twice.
He knocked.

When five seconds had passed and he didn't get a reply, he was seriously considering bolting for it. But he couldn't do that. He didn't even know why he was so scared of Midoriya anyway. And he didn't know why the prospect of talking to him was giving him a weird, ticklish feeling in his stomach. He was a perfectly nice person, kind, sweet, nice, quiet, attractive- hold up. Did he say attractive? Well, he was 'attractive' in the sense that he 'attracted' people...yeah, that was probably what Kaminari meant. Trying to erase all thoughts of Midoriya being attractive, he focused his attention on the door in front of him, willing it to stay shut. Still, no response from him. As he was turning back, the door suddenly flung open.
"Who is it?" Midoriya's voice reached Kaminari's ears. Kaminari quickly turned around.
"Oh, hey Midoriya, It's Kaminari, I wanted to ask you a que-" Kaminari's words stuck in his throat. Whatever he expected Midoriya to be wearing, he wasn't expecting...this.
For starters, Midoriya was completely drenched in water, from the head to the toe. That explained the puddles of water. But what was more troublesome than the water was the fact that Midoriya was shirtless and the only thing that was covering him was a large towel. He wasn't sure why, but Kaminari was freaking out. It didn't even matter. They were both boys, after all! But still...
