The Next Morning...
Axel(Adria's father) was the first to wake up. I forgot what it felt like to sleep on this hard floor... He thought. He got up off the floor and folded up the blankets and put them on the broken-down chair. He lit a candle and quietly walked into the basement to check on the kids. They were all still asleep. He walked back up the stairs and blew out the candle. He rubbed his eyes to remove the crusts from his eyes. "Ok time to get ready to hunt for food." He said as he started walking around the house. He grabbed the bucket of water off the floor and set it on the counter. He wiped his face with the rag and placed it back into the bucket.

He then discreetly unlocked the front door and walked outside. He locked the house back up and started to walk farther into the woods towards a little shed. He unlocked the lock on the shed and walked inside. He swatted at the cobwebs that surrounded him and grabbed the flashlight from the shelf. Damnit, the batteries are dead... He set the flashlight back down and pulled the lighter out of his pocket. He start moving towards the back of the shed and grabbed the hunting rifle off of the rack and grabbed the ammo and walked back out of the shed. He tucked the lighter back into his pocket and locked the shed back up.

Back at the shack...
Nial woke up and looked around it was too dark to see anything. He then remembered that he had a lighter in his pocket. He grabbed it out of his pocket and lit it. He looked around again and noticed everyone was still asleep. He gently stood up from his bed and carefully stepped over Tyler and walked into the bathroom. He lit the candle that was left in the bathroom last night and looked in the mirror. His knuckles were bruised from the incident that happened the day before. He picked up the towel that was laying in the bucket. He started to clean up until he started hearing movement. He set the towel on the sink and grabbed the candle a peered into the next room. Adria was walking towards him. "Oh, it's just you. You scared the shit out of me." He whispered to her. "Sorry I didn't mean to." She whispered as she continued walking into the bathroom.

He set the candle back down on the sink and started to clean his knuckles. He hissed at the feeling of the pain. Adria looked at him. "Do you want me to help?" She asked as she grabbed the towel from his hand. "Sure." He said as he turned towards her. She started rubbing the bruised and still bloody knuckles. The pain was agonizing but it had to be done. Adria could see the pain in his face. "You know it's ok to express that it hurts right?" She asked him. "Yeah, I know." He said softly. She finished up her last couple of strokes of his knuckles and put the rag back into the bucket. "We might have some wrap upstairs. If so we can wrap your hands when we get up there." She said as she grabbed the candle and walked back out into the other room.

The boys were still fast asleep. Adria set the candle on the floor close to the boys so that when they woke up they could see. Nial grabbed his lighter out of his pocket and started walking up the stairs. They walked into the kitchen and Adria started looking around in cabinets and drawers. Nial put the lighter back in his pocket and sat down. "Wait where's your dad?" He asked. Adria started to look around the room. "I don't know, he fell asleep on the floor." She said. Nial got up a started looking around the shack. Adria started to do the same. They couldn't find him anywhere. Nial noticed that both doors we all locked up. "Maybe he went somewhere, I'm sure he'll be back soon," Adria said as she started to look around for the gauze again.

She finally found it hidden in the cupboard next to the refrigerator. "I have no idea why this man put stuff where he does, but I found it." She set the box of gauze next to Nial and started to wrap up his hands. Layne walked up the stairs and rubbed his eyes and stretched. "Hey, guys, what are you two up to?" He asked as he put the lighter back in his pocket. "I'm wrapping up Nial's hands from the incident that happened yesterday." She said. "You fucked them up pretty bad didn't you?" Layne asked. Nial hissed as he started to speak to Layne. "Yeah, I fucked them up pretty bad." Layne sat down on the floor. "My dads gone for what I hope is only a little while, we have no idea where he went he should be back." She said as she finished up.

"So now what?" Nial asked as he sat next to Layne. "Well we could clean those stains out of your clothes from yesterday." Adria said as she walked towards the basement door. Layne looked at her. "We'll be down in a minute, him and I need to talk first." He said as he tossed his lighter her way. "Ok but don't take too long, I need help with those stains." She walked down the stairs. Layne looked over at Nial. "So you what all do you remember from yesterday's incident?" He asked. "Well I remember the man not leaving and I told Adria's father to get back into the car. Then I remember give the man a last warning and then it all went black, until I came back to you guys dragging me into the car and the man laying dead on the ground." Nial said as he looked down at the floor. "Do you remember anything else other than that?" Layne questioned. "Yeah, I remember everything around me becoming blue and blurry." Nial said.

"Well to me it seemed like you were a whole different person when it happened." Layne said. Nial looked over at Layne. "Wha-what did I do." Nial said with a shaky tone of voice. "He lunged at you with the knife, you grabbed it from him and then pushed him to the ground and punched the shit out of him. Then you took the knife and stabbed the fuck out of him. We had to pull you off of him because you just kept stabbing him." Layne said sadly. Nial had horror on his face. "I-I-I did that..... Oh-oh my god...." He said shockingly. "I'm so sorry you saw that. I really don't know what happened." He said as he stood up and began running for the back door. Layne sprung up and ran after Nial. "What are you doing!" Layne exclaimed. "I-I-I don't want to have that happen again, I don't want to hurt you guys!" Nial shouted as he slid to the ground with his hands wrapped around his head. Layne got down on his level. "Hey, it won't happen again. We will figure out what this is." He said. Nial looked up at Layne. "I should've just stayed at that damn psychiatric facility and had them fucking kill me!" He exclaimed. How are we going to fix this.... Layne thought.
