"I told you, Mayari, the only way to help your dad is to seduce that Suarez heir!"
"Mommy, I said no! Stop it, please.
I'm already frustrated with our company's current status tapos dinadagdagan pa ng sarili kong ina ang inisip ko.
Since she had this delusional idea to seduce that Suarez heir para isalba ang aming lumulubog na kompanya, she's been pestering me all day! I know my ways with boys pero never akong naging manggagamit.
"Anong gusto mo, Mayari? Maghirap tayo? You want to waste your life away in a cheap apartment working for a conglomerate that's supposed to be you? Kaya mo bang sikmurain yun?"
Napabuntonghinunga na lamang ako. I'm torn. I want to do something for my family at tama nga si mommy.
Hinila niya ako palapit at mariing bumulong.
"I'm telling you, Mayari, this is the only way you can help. Gamitin mo naman ang utak mo!"
Marahas niya akong binitawan then stomped her way towards the study.
My mommy was not like that before. She was the sweetest person I know.
She was very much against that. She believes marriage for convenience is a big pain in the ass for both the children at dapat ay hayaan na lamang silang mamili ng gusto nilang gawin sa buhay nila. Guide them instead of dictating what to do. But I think the pressure of crumbling down is realty weighing on her shoulders. I can't fully blame her.
"Ma'am nandito na po tayo."
I sighed at tinignan ang aking sarili sa salamin bago ako bumaba. I thanked our driver and discussed about my dismissal.
"Ari! Have you seen the latest Chanel bag na nilabas kagabi? I'm so going to get that.
"Ang bilis naman ng class A ano? Kalalabas lang, nagawa agad?" she smirked.
She even high fived one of them. Nagtaaas ako ng kilay habang pinagmamasdan silang tuwang tuwa dahil sa akala nilang pagkapanalo.
I leaned forward and eyed her. Nakangiti kong pinagmasdan ang aking mamahaling bag. I turned it over and saw fingerprints on it. Probably make-up. I wiped it cautiously and inspected it more
"Buti walang gasgas. I'm afraid you won't have enough money to pay for it.
Everyone was looking at us. They're probably dying for some entertainment huh?
"Anong sabi mo?!"
Everyone in the room quieted. The air suddenly becomes heavy. It reeks of trouble and I'm all for it. Kailangan ko maglabas ng inis sa katawan.
