Liv's POV
Today was just a normal, boring school day. We already had maths, biology and PE. I'm having lunch right now with my friends Laila and Eve.
I decided to have a slice of pizza for lunch. For some reason I feel a bit weird. Apparently I zoned out because i get snapped back in reality by Eve.
"Liv is everything alright?"
"yeah I guess."
"I know you're not okay. Laila went to the bathroom and when she said bye you completely ignored her. It looked like you were on a whole other planet."
"yeah it also felt like that. I'm sorry I didn't mean to ignore you guys."
"It's oka-"
Eve suddenly get cut off by the quiet girl, I think her name is May, running out of the cafetaria with tears streaming down her beautiful face. I think her face was bruised but I couldn't really see that well. She can run really fast. Only after she's gone i notice the popular girl Spencer completely freaking out and the boys yelling freak at May. The poor girl gets called a freak every single day, it must be so frustrating.
"god she's so beautiful" I whisper
"Hmm?" Laila asked while sitting down at the table again.
"Oh nothing, sorry. By the way i'm sorry if it looked like i was ignoring you a few minutes ago, i kinda zoned out."
"Don't worry about it!" Laila says with her mouth full of the gooey delicious pizza.
"Hey guys uhm im gonna go to the bathroom, brb!"
I get up and walk away before they could say anything. I don't want them to know that i'm actually going to look for May.
I walk around a bit until I hear someone playing guitar in the music room. I slowly walk to the entrance. When I notice that it's May playing I quickly hide. I listen to her playing for a few more minutes. Suddenly I see Spencer and her friends walking this way. I quickly run inside the class room and close the door. May looked shocked seeing me here.
"WTF ARE YOU DOING?!"
"shh stay quiet"
when we hear Spencer and her group walk away she turns her face to mine and we just stare for a few seconds until May starts talking...
"You're Liv, right?"
"Yeah. I'm sorry if I scared you."
"It's okay but were you following me?"
"not really, well, i mean uh-"
"are you part of them? you're just here to fuck with me aren't you? wow." she says while pushing me aside and running away again.
"No May wait I just wanted to see if you were-! nevermind I guess"
I walk back to my friends in the cafetaria. We talk for a bit until the Bell rings.
"ughhh we have history" Laila says.
"Yeah, can't wait for school to be over." I say while grabbing my backpack and walking to the class room.
