*A/N: Please know that this isn't how Raph, Donnie and a few of the others died in the future. I don't even know how they really died. This is just what I think happened.*

"Well..." Future Leo began glumly. He scratched the back of his head with his robotic arm. Future Mikey looked down, blinking back tears. Raph's smirk disappeared as he watched the older versions of his littlest brothers shift uncomfortably. Future Mikey looked up. "Leo, I think we should tell them." Future Leo looked at him, pleading silently. Future Mikey gave him a stern shake of his head. The expression on his face surprised the teenagers. Mikey was never that serious, he'd always bring out his signature smile in some dire situations. Whatever happens in the future must've changed him a lot.

Future Leo sighed and sat up straight. He lifted his head and the others saw that his eyes were glossy and tears started to form. "Mikey, April and I are the only ones that survived in the future. The rest of you..."  Future Leo stopped for a second. "The rest of you died."

...

There was silence in the lair as the air grew heavier and heavier. Mikey was on the verge of tears as he hugged Donnie tightly. Raph sat there, shocked. And Leo...well, he knew that he's failed his family in the future. Why had Splinter made him leader? Can he change the future? Is it already too late?

"How...how did we all die?" Donnie asked, rubbing Mikeys shell. "Donnie!" Raph said, looking at his purple banded brother. "We may be able to stop it if we know it Raph!" Donnie replied. Raph couldn't argue with that. He sat forward, looking down at the ground with his arms on his thighs. "Donnie...was the first to die." Future Mikey said. This made Mikey cling more to Donnie as tears finally ran down his face. "He died by being crushed by one of the Kraang bots." Future Mikey continued. Looking sadly at his younger version. "Cassandra was the next to die. She died from a sickness about 2 years ago. We didn't have the right medicine to treat her." Casey crossed her arms. "And then Raph...we don't really know what happened to him. He just went out...and he never came back. But we found his mask laying on the ground." Future Leo said, bringing out his single katana and showing them Raph's and Donnies masks neatly wrapped on the handle.

"What about Pops?" Raph asked, not looking up. "Dad died in the first week of the invasion." Future Leo spoke sadly.

...

"Well um... since you two are here, how about you join all of us  in patrolling New York?" April asked, trying to lighten the mood. Both older turtles looked up at her and nodded. April smiled warmly at them before she grabbed Raph's arm and began to pull him up. She lead the way out of the lair with Casey and the 6 turtles close behind her. The two future turtles stayed back, looking around the sewer. It was obvious they hadn't been here in a long time. Mikey was right next to Donnie, who had his arm around him. Raph and Leo walked side by side. Raph was looking down at the ground while Leo stared forward, thinking hard.

They climbed up the ladder and opened the sewer lid to see New York's dark blue sky filled with rays of different colors. Future Mikey and Leo stared with awe, they same glint from before reappearing in their eyes.

They got on one of the nearby roofs and watched life go by. People walking inside buildings, sitting on benches, and eating pizza. The future turtles watched with their mouths agape. April smiled and said, "I'm going to get us pizza. Donnie, Mikey, you wanna come with us?" Mikey nodded as him and Donnie jumped across roofs with April and Casey, soon out of sight from Raph, both Leo's, and Future Mikey.

No one said anything, they were still shocked that the future versions of two of them were even there. Let alone the fact that the two eldest were dead.

Mikey being Mikey, no matter the time period, suggested that they start patrolling in hopes of distracting them and lightening their spirits. The others agreed and began to run across the roof tops. In no time, they found MeatSweats selling poisonous food again.

The four of them jumped down (well, both Leo's and Raph did, Future Mikey floated down), getting the attention of both MeatSweats and the man he was selling food to. The man screamed upon seeing them and ran the opposite direction.

"Ah turtles, so good to smell your delicious aro-" MeatSweats stopped mid sentence upon noticing double and Future Mikey floating. "Why is there double of the blue and the orange floating?" He pointed out. "The only thing that matters is that your about to get your butt kicked." Leo said, smirking. He suddenly vanished, leaving his older self, Future Mikey and Raph behind. MeatSweats charged towards them but instantly turned as he heard a portal open behind him. He used his metal arm to stop the blow from Leo's katana before it could hit his back. Raph charged from behind, his sais creating a larger version of his fists. MeatSweats ducked just in time to avoid a blow to the head, which instead hit Leo's other arm, knocking his second katana through the air.

Leo grunted as he jumped away from MeatSweats, attempting to regain his balance. Future Leo cringed, was he really that unbalanced when he was a teen? It seems like it.

From behind him, Future Mikey used his mystic abilities to create orange chains, which flew towards the three fighting. They wrapped around MeatSweats and tightened. Raph and Leo looked with surprise at the struggling mutant pig.

"And that's how you get it done." Future Mikey said, smiling. "How'd you do that?!" Raph asked, waving his hands in the air. "I'm a mystic warrior! I can create chains and other things out of thin air." Future Mikey explained, all the while grinning his signature grin. "Good job little brother." Future Leo praised.

They took all the poison from MeatSweats food truck and decided to take it with them so Donnie could test it. But Raph held onto it, making sure that Leo didn't sneak any. Leo wanted to ask more about Future Mikey's mystic abilities, leaving Raph and Future Leo behind. Raph glanced at Future Leo, who was watching the two up ahead. "So, what else do you wannna know?" Future Leo said out of the blue, causing Raph to jump. "Um-I-I-um" Raph sighed. "When do the Kraang get here?" Future Leo looked at him. "August 5th. The foot clan stole a key that allowed them to travel to Earth. In less then a day, more than half of the world was taken over." Raph nodded and sighed. "So we only have a month." Future Leo placed his hand on Raph's shoulder. Over the past 22 years, Leo had grown and was close to being taller then Raph. Raph wondered how tall he had gotten before...never mind. "Now that your guys know what's coming, you can stop it before it even happens." Future Leo said. Raph thought for a second, then smiled. "Yea, your right. But where is it?" Future Leo thought before saying, "Donnie said that the key was discovered in Japan, then they took it here to be put on display in a museum. It was stolen the night after it was placed in the museum." "So we have time to plan." Raph said, looking at Future Leo. He smiled at him, "Yeah, you do."

"Hey guys! April said that she has the pizza and to meet at Lou Mike Tony's!" Leo yelled.

Raph smiled. Him and his brothers would steal the key before it gets stolen and used to bring evil. It would take time, but they could do it.

Or could they...
