We were on our way home when I got some startling news
"Ok don't freak out!"Kori says to me suddenly,"ummm...ok about what exactly?"I ask not sure what she's talking about,"I'M PREGNANT!"she squeals,I just stare at her,"Your not mad are you?"she asked me frowning,"oh no no,just a l-little surprised"I reply loosing my collar.
After a few minutes of awkward silence I clear my throat,"Well ummm.....whose the dad?"I ask trying my best to keep my tone light and enthusiastic,"Brent"Kori replies dreamily.Well that a relief,Brent is her boyfriend and good friend of mine."That great I'm so happy for you two!"I say with real enthusiasm this time,"Ohhh what should I name him.....or her......or him and her or her and her or him an-"she doesn't finish when I hold up a hand,"ok I get it.Why don't we think of some names when we get home!"I reply lightly.
"Have you told mom and dad?"I ask in a firm tone,"uh..yeah about that!"she replies sheepishly,"KORI!"I shout suddenly angry,"YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM! THEIR YOUR PARENTS!!!"I shout louder and she winces,"ok,ok I didn't say I wasn't going to tell them."I look at her blankly,she holds up her hands in mock surrender,"I will I promise,I'll tell them,just not.....now"
'She's not going to tell them!'Rose tells me.'Of course she is,I trust her' I think back,'what ever you say kid' Rose replies then goes silent.
I suddenly notice the hand waving in front of my face and an anxious looking Kori,"Kay,Kay!Earth to Kay!?"she says,"sorry just got lost in my thoughts for a sec."I say dully.
"your not mad at me are you?"She asks shyly,"Well of course I am Kori,I mean this is a big deal,I mean I going to be an aunt-!"I stop dead
An aunt,I'm going to be an aunt,"Kori!"I squeal,"What what!" She asked worriedly,"I'm going to be an aunt" ,I squeal again,we start hugging and singing,just as the truck hits our car.
Everything went black.
