As we walk to the hospital Chizuru enjoys her vanilla ice cream with pocky sticks. She insisted she's eat that much but she's been feeding me the Pocky sticks since she wasn't in the mood for them as she says. Once she finished we made our way to the hospital and her grandmother's room.
"Hey Grandma I stopped by again, I even brought your so precious Shiki..." Mizuhara opened the door and spoke to her grandma without looking while I noticed two others.
"Hey hey Chizuru, you should look up." I spoke behind her and she did look up to see a kid with brown hair and another elderly woman. "Hello there Chizuru and you finally came Shiki come here!" Her grandma extended her arms for me to come and hug her which I did.
"Hey to you too grandma, and hello to the two of you my name is Mushiki Irido. It's a pleasure to meet the two of you." I shook hands with the brown haired boy.
"Kazuya Kinoshita, it's a pleasure likewise. Your white hair is pretty cool man, gives you a unique vibe."
"Thanks, it's definitely my most eye catching feature since it's pure white like this. Hello to you too ma'am." I bowed to the other older woman.
"Hello there Chizuru and Mushiki as well, Kazuya you should learn to be as polite as him you know? Feel free to just call me Miss Nagomi." I nodded and noticed Chizuru changing Grandma Sayuri's flower vase with flowers from her bag.
"Can I ask what brought you two here? Although I can leave if you'd like... I'm the only one without a grandparent here so I feel a bit out of place."
"Nonsense! We were just talking about Chizuru and Kaguya here, it'd be great if they got together." I was a bit shocked but smiled as the conversation continued leaving me behind.

After splitting up I went home after picking up some snacks. The ice cream melted a bit but I hope it isn't that big of a deal. When I walked in I was greeted by Yume who was probably waiting on me.
"Come on, you've kept Mom and I waiting the drama already started Shiki!" Yume with her hair up and comfortable clothes ran back to the living room as I just chuckled. I put the chips into bowls and got extra paper bowls for ice cream. I got them both juice and water for myself the second trip.
"I could've helped you know Shiki." Miss Yuni looked at me from the other couch with Yume. "It's fine, I don't mind doing things like this. Besides you're both women, it's only natural no?" I sipped on my water.
"It's also natural for you to not be so far apart you know. There's enough room for three people c'mon!" I was reluctant and clearly Yume was too but I got the okay from a slow nod so I made my way over and sat in the middle.
After awhile we started to watch the drama, it was about a wife who cheated on her husband when they have a young child. At some point she leaves them both after basically taking everything the man and boy own, the father was barely able to put food on the table and the boy was slowly bullied in school. Soon he lost his father in an accident leaving the boy all alone, it had an open ending with the boy sitting alone on a park bench.
Yume and Miss Yuni cried with tissues while I stared at the screen with a blank face. I noticed I haven't moved or reacted even when the held my hand or held onto me it was just like...
I stared at my cup of water, I noticed that it was having ripples all of a sudden. I touched my cheek and felt a wetness. I guess I care more than I thought after all this time.
"You two gonna be okay?" I stood up after wiping my eye dry look away. They both looked up at me but could probably sense something was off. "What's wrong Shiki? You seem upset, was the show that sad?" Miss Yuni asked unknowingly while I held my tongue.
"Something like that. Sorry you two I'll head to sleep, goodnight to the both of you." I went upstairs and laid on my bed in silence.
