As the townspeople did their best to put out the fire, none of them had noticed the young woman inside one of the burning houses, holding her young baby tightly to her chest for dear life. Trying her best to find a way out of the house, the woman carried her daughter with her, covering the girl's nose and mouth with her kimono, leaving herself exposed to the smoke. Soon enough, she broke down to the ground, coughing violently before she slowly but surely started to lose consciousness, causing the young girl beside her to panic and cry. The young girl watched as her mother lost consciousness and died before her very eyes. Yukimura Chizuru is homeless, every night she takes shelter under the overhang of rooftops but one night some ronin stop her for some "Well deserved" money that she doesn't even have. In short they end up chasing her. And who is there to save her? None other than Hijikata Toshizo the shinsengumi's Demon vice commander who suspects her situation.

"It's your fault this is happening to me," I said, voice trembling as I looked up at the leaders of the Shinsengumi. "Please take responsibility for it, and fix me." Avalon couldn't have known that she would slip, bonk her head, and get electrocuted at Osaka International Airport, or that she would be transported back to Edo Period Japan. She also couldn't have known she would be waitressing the captains of the Shinsengumi. And she definitely couldn't have known that she would be attacked by a rasetsu. Luckily, Avalon escapes....by biting the monster. Blech. But afterwards, strange things start happening to Avalon. Everything starts to lose their taste. And for some reason, she's yearning for something other than average human food. Blood? Desperate for help, Avalon seeks out the Shinsengumi. Will they be able to save Avalon?
