Chapter 8
"Derek's outside waiting for Lydia"
"waiting to kill her?" Allison questioned
"if he thinks she's the Kanima then yes, especially after what happened at the pool"
Luna: "It's not her"
Stiles: "She didn't pass the test. Nothing happened" Luna shook her head, she didn't know what was up with stiles today
"No, it can't be her"
Allison: "It doesn't matter, because Derek thinks it's her. So, either we convince him that he's wrong, or we've got to figure out a way to protect her."
"I really don't think he's gonna do anything here, not at school"
"What about after school?" Scott sighed
"What if we could prove Derek's wrong?"
Stiles: "by 3 o'clock?"
"There could be something in the bestiary" Luna suggested
"oh, you mean the 900-page book written in Archaic Latin that none of us can read? Good luck with that!" She moved back away from him
"Stiles, don't shout at me please" Luna whispered. Stiles sighed not saying anything
"actually I think I know someone who might be able to translate it." Allison said glancing away from stiles and Luna
Scott: "Uh, I can talk to Derek. maybe convince him to give us a chance to prove that it's not her. but if anything happens to you guys let me handle it, okay"
"What does that mean?" Allison questioned
"it means you can't heal like I do. yes Luna you are a fairy and Allison your a hunter but you can't heal. I don't want you getting hurt" Allison rummaged through her bag and pulled out a crossbow and held it up
"I can protect myself"
"We have until 3" Allison nodded and Scott went to leave but Scott quickly turned around grabbing an arrow inches from his chest
They all looked to stiles holding the crossbow
"Ahh, sorry. Sorry" he handed the crossbow back to Allison "It's a sensitive trigger on that" they all left the room leaning stiles and Luna
"Stiles" Luna whispered but the boy just exited the room not looking back at her. She didn't know how to fix whatever's wrong if he doesn't communicate with her

They had all found Lydia, including Jackson who was following along for a reason they didn't know. They were currently rushing away from Issac and Erica who was looking for them
"If we're doing a study group, why didn't we just stay in the library?" Lydia asked confused
Luna: "Because we're meeting up with someone else?"
