Chapter 12

"Luna and stiles said you know how Jackson's parents died" Scott said once they were seated

"Maybe"

"Talk" Erica shut the book she was reading and turned to Scott who was sitting beside her

"It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator, and every time he sees Jackson drive by in his Porsche, he makes some comment about the huge settlement he'll be getting when he's 18"

Luna: "So not only is Jackson rich now, but he's getting even richer at 18?"

"Yep"

Stiles: "There's something so deeply wrong with that"

"You know what? I could try to find the insurance report on my dads inbox. He keeps everything" Erica went into her laptop and opened it

"Scott McCall, please report to the principles office" Allison's mums voice came through the speaker. They all looked to each other and Scott got up with a shrug

Jackson came back after Scott left and sat back down on the table

"Don't forget the dates" stiles added

"Passengers arrived at the hospital DOA. The estimated time of death- 9:26PM, June 14 1995" Luna remembered when she got Jackson a present for his birthday last year

"Jackson's birthday is June 15th" they both looked to Luna with confusion. They all heard the zipper and turned to see mr Harris getting ready to leave

Everyone followed packing up their things and standing up but mr Harris just laughed as he went to exit the room

"Oh, no, I'm sorry. Uh, yes, I'm leaving. But none of you are. You may go when you're done with the re-shelving" he placed his hands on the filled up book trailers
"Enjoy the rest of your evening" they immediately got to it.

Luna was quick, she was always in this library so she knew where everything went

She was halfway through and met up with Scott, stiles and Allison in between one of the shelves

"So was it an accident?" Luna questioned

"The word all over the report was 'inconclusive'"

"Then his parents could have been murdered?" Luna nodded in reply

Stiles: "If they were then it falls in line with the the Kanima myth, you know? It seeks out and kills murderers"

Luna: "But for Jackson? Or for whoever's controlling him?

"We have to talk to him" Scott said
"We- we have to tell him" Scott walked off and they all sighed before the ceiling and books came falling down

Stiles had grabbed Luna and shielded her with his own body until Scott got thrown into a bookcase

Scott went back beside them and they watched as Jackson moved to the board

He looked possessed in a way before his hand moved against the chalkboard, writing a message for them

Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you

Jackson jumped out of the window after and Luna heard noises before seeing Erica convulsing. She was having a seizure

Luna went beside her

"Hey, hey hey!" Luna looked to everyone else as she moved the books away from her head 
"She's having a seizure"

Allison went to Matt whilst Luna, Scott and stiles went to Erica

"He's alive" Allison stated

Scott: "We need to get her to a hospital"
