As Capitano had rushed into Pierro's room, he noticed his love was peacefully asleep at his desk.
Slowly, he inched and inched closer, setting aside his lovers tedious paperwork, along with his never ending chess game.

Capitano gently grazed his hand on Pierro's back, laying his significant others head on his lap.
A grin came through Capitano's mask, a grin most would never see. One that was saved for his special person.

He had noticed every new wrinkle Pierro had gain over the decades of solitude,
every new wrinkle he gained while his lover relentlessly trained, disconnected from the world.
He took a soft sigh, muttering a promise.
As Pierro's eye fluttered open, Capitano clearly spoke,

"Never again shall I leave, never again."

Pierro had shut his eye as soon as he heard such a vow, grasping tightly onto his beloved.

Not a word slipped out of his mouth, but at that moment of silence, they both knew one fact.

The void in their hearts had been perfectly filled to the brim.
