Kylie's POV
"Wait WHAT?" I screeched through the phone just in case they didn't hear me the first time.
The voice said through the phone "Uh ma'am I said your.." then I cut him off
"I know okay," I could feel this wet thing well up in my eyes and drip down my cheek "Our granddad died" at that point I knew what was happening, I was crying.
Our Papa-G (that's what we...used to call him) died and I Kylie Dash Josan have to tell my younger identical twin sister Chloe Johnson Josan. It may sound like I'm making a big fuss over it but he was our last family and legal guardian. Our mum dumped us on our dad, our dad died in a plane crash back from a business trip, and now grand Dady is gone too? What happens to us now? The substance from my eyes keep on rolling down my cheeks. We get split up? We stay together? Foster or adoption, what's the difference anyways? The door lock snaps open.
"Hey I'm home, finally!" Chloe says as she collapses on to the bed
"Hi" I say meekly
"Hey, when is papa-G coming home?"
"Ah, ehem, about that..." I trailed off, a cold sweat gathering on my forehead "Maybe tomorrow, I don't know, he's working late at his café tonight" I sighed
"Aww, I wanted some of his carbonara today!"
Damn, I couldn't say it
"Let's go to bed now, 'Kay?" I say, trying to disguise my disgust from my own failure.
"Uhuh, goodnight"
But it was a mistake, at around one in the morning this happened...
Chloe's POV
The door was being knocked at, and when I mean knocked I mean disturbing the whole county, bloody hell it's one in the morning and for one I ain't a morning person. Ky, however was still asleep, ain't a surprise really. I went to open the door, "I told papa-G that his keys where on the desk" I mumbled under my breath I looked up to see it wasn't papa-G but, the government? And his WILL?!
Right I must be still half asleep. I yawned and then shut the door but to my luck these people are persistent, opening the door I was still on the cranky side.
There was this middle aged man and woman, maybe a couple even? With suits of black and grey standing at the door
And I said "Ugh, what, it's one in the morning."
"Um miss" the guy starts nervously "We are here to take you to your respective countries"
"Sir England is my respective country, thank you very much"
"Weren't you informed that your grandfather died?"
Alright now he just crossed THE line, he's all we got so you don't mess with us or
Papa-G
"What now? He is still at the café sir and for your informational preferences we are not going anywhere but here and school (unfortunately)" huffing with anger I nearly slammed our dear door shut but I felt a familiar hand on my shoulder and a strange sobbing noise, turning around I saw a crying ky.
"Lo, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I didn't have the courage to say that..." she sniffled and wiped some tears of her face with her sleeve "that he's gone now, for good" at that last word she pulled me in for a hug and just cried.
"Heh, when was the last time you cried in front of people ky?" I carefully put her down and turned back to the man,
"Sorry for my rudeness earlier, come in and tell us everything"
That last morning was a blur of rapidly packing saying our goodbyes and
"Don't forget to Skype me? Okay!" Before we even knew it we were gone from each other's grasp. From that day onwards WE call it the day it ALL fell apart
And now I'm here in Australia and she's all the way in Hawaii! This is where our stories apart begin...
