The next morning Monique watches as Sonya flits around the room as she gathers the needed materials for her class. Monique didn't know how to feel about being left with only Trinity to watch her. Yes, her short time spent here being cared for has managed to open her eyes and she doesn't view the shifter as a threat but she doesn't feel particularly welcomed either. Sonya being gone and unable to be the buffer to smooth over the awkward moments between the two makes her nervous.

"So, I should be back around two." Sonya explains while slipping her shoes on. "The bandages need to be changed again in a couple of hours. Babe, you know what to do," Trinity nods as she holds Sonya's keys and jacket up for her to take. "I'll be back soon and call if there's an emergency."

"You realize you are just going to class right?" Trinity asks as she helps Sonya into her jacket. "Everything will be fine, no need to worry."

"You know me, I always worry." She gives her a quick kiss and grabs the keys. "See you later."

"Later."

"Bye Monique."

The hunter waves with a quiet goodbye and watches her leave. Trinity shuts the door and returns to the table to gather the breakfast dishes, bringing them over to the sink. Monique rolls away from the table. "I can help with that if you want."

"No need." Trinity tells her, not bothering to look up from her task. "You're a guest here."

"Are you sure there's nothing I can help with."

The silverware clinks when Trinity sets it down with more force than she meant to. She takes a breath before finally looking at Monique. "You should rest; it's very important for the healing process."

Recognizing those words for the dismissal that they are, Monique makes her way back to Sonya's room and closes the door behind her. It's only been thirty seconds and already she wishes that Sonya would come walking through the door again. She looks around the room for something to busy herself with and rolls to the bookshelf. Her fingers glide amongst the spines as she looks for anything of interest to pass the time before settling on a well-used copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

She spends a bit of time flipping through the pages. She goes to flip another when something falls out of the book and into her lap, a photograph. She turns it over in her fingers and ponders about the image. In it, she sees Sonya and Trinity several years younger with an older boy sitting between the two with a wide smile on his face; Sonya giving a smaller while Trinity looks off to the side. Apparently, she's always been grumpy if the annoyance that paints her face is anything to go by.

The door opening startles her, causing the picture to slip from her grasp and onto the floor. Trinity's follow the movement and she calmly walks over setting the first aid kit in her hands on the bed before crouching to pick up the picture.

"I wasn't snooping or anything." Monique speaks up, unsettled by the silence. "I was just reading and that fell out." She explains.

Trinity stands and places picture higher atop the bookshelf, grabbing a bookmark place in the paperback and setting it aside. "It's time to change your bandages."

"Oh, yeah." Monique says.

"You'll need to be on the bed." She motions towards her. "May I?"

After a moment, Monique nods. "Sure."

The shifter gently lifts her into a bridal carry before quickly but carefully placing her on the bed. She lifts Monique's shirt a bit and sets about caring for the wound. "You're healing well." She quietly comments.
