Keith and Ashlyn wave their father goodbye before heading inside the limousine. As they drive off to Deitne, Ashlyn smiles at Keith. "So... you nervous?"

Keith grins, but it quickly evaporates. "Yeah... I have no idea what it's gonna be like, maybe it'll be too overwhelming."

"I'm sure it'll be fine." Ashlyn reassures Keith. "Anyway, look out your window! It's really pretty out there!"

Keith glances through the window and sure enough, it's quite beautiful. The morning sun shines and glimmers off a bright blue lake, small fluffy clouds rolling past the sky. "It is."

Pulling back from the window, Keith smiles. "Thanks, Ashlyn. You're a good sister."

Ashlyn stares right at him before tearing up a little. "Thank you! That really means a lot... I guess I really can be a sister. It's nice."

Keith smiles and hugs her. "Of course you can!"

Meanwhile

Cassidy slouched over, extremely tired. He wasn't really in the mood for any of this today. He had nightmares all night of the school, people shoving him over and laughing. Constant laughing. He hated that. Cassidy could instantly feel when he was being made fun of. He learned that from the other kids back in Hireath (idk how to spell it sorry).

But anyway, he knows he should be excited, like Ashling. Ashling had been radiating excitement all morning, it was almost enough to make Cassidy feel that way too...

He gazed out the window and watched the scenery roll on by, hills and mountains towering over the road. It truely was beautiful. He'd be able to see this sort of thing daily on top of Deity Hill, where the school resides. But that too wasn't quite enough to motivate him.

Oh well.

This is short, I know. But I think it doesn't need much else. Next chapter will be way longer. Btw I like to read others rp things, so yes I'm fully aware of the Ashlyn and Keith being adopted not at the same time but they still were so yay. I do like that ark you two :)
