'BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!'

Keith yawned and smacked the alarm next to his new bed. He sat up, looking around once again. He still wasn't really accustomed to this room yet. He smiled and shoved off the blanket, and begun to get ready for the first official day as a student of Deitne Academy.

He checked the timetable, and it only said two different classes for the day. Cultures and magic, Strange.

Before Keith knew it, he and Cassidy were walking around the campus, looking for the library. This was his new life.
When the two of them found the building, they wandered inside and looked around for their classroom. Front room... front room...

Cassidy swung open a set of doors and beckoned Keith over. "It's here!"

They walked inside to see a few people already there. There was Cookie and another girl with a dyed pink fade in her hair and pink gills, a boy with a light orange-brown hair covering one of his eyes, Alexander, A person with black hair and wings with a girl with short brown hair with a white streak. Though there were still many seats left empty, Keith took an empty table (They're two seaters btw) and waited around. Cassidy took a seat behind the emo-looking guy and the wait for everyone else began.

A familiar face walked through the door and smiled at Keith. Yarrow!
Yarrow took the seat next to him and smiled. "Good morning, Keith! How are you?"

"All good I guess..."

"Good!"

Eventually, the classroom filled and the teacher got up from his desk. "Hello, students! Welcome to your first class in the cultures. I'm Mr. Lavor. Or Mr. L."

"Now, I thought we could spend the first few minutes of your very first class to get to know your peers. So... I'll call each of your names and you can tell us a bit about yourselves. Lets start... Voshell Jenkins?"

Voshell raises her hand and smiles. She had a warm and inviting smile. "Hello! I'm Voshell, and... I like foxes?"

"I can see that. Now, Trixie Gospel?"

A girl with dark green hair looks up from a book and grimaces. "My name is Trixie. I like not dealing with idiots."

"Alright... what about Coral Tera?"

The girl with pink in her hair jumps a little before settling again. Maybe she wasn't paying attention...

"Uh, well I'm Coral! I like... I dunno... uh... the ocean." She shrugs, clearly embarrassed. Keith couldn't but feel bad.

Mr. Lavor smiles. "Samuel Thompson?"

The emo looking guy looks to the teacher, his expression was unreadable. "I'm Samuel. I enjoy watching landscapes and scenery. It's quite stress-relieving."

Keith smiled, Samuel appeared to be quite shameless. He could admire that, being quite awkward himself.

The names and introductions went on for a while, before Keith heard his own name. "Keith Fuar Stinson?"

"U-uh," Keith stuttered. Great... "I'm Keith... I, uh... I like reading and m-making flower bracelets."

Smiling, Mr. Lavor chuckled. "That's nice. Cassidy Shea?"

Keith turned. Cassidy cleared his throat before speaking. "I'm Cassidy. I like making fun of this guy and sleeping." He nudged Samuel. I guess they know each other...

The class was over before Keith knew it, and he and Yarrow were walking to the cafeteria for lunch, with Alexander and Alyssa trailing behind. "So... how'd you like the first lesson?" Yarrow smiled to him, clearly ecstatic. "It was nice, I guess. So... who was your dormmate again?"

Yarrow looked forward into the distance. "Oh, Kyoka. Who's yours?"

"Oh, um... Cassidy." Keith said, he quickly changed direction so the four of them wouldn't crash into a wall. "How's Kyoka so far?"

"Oh, all good." Yarrow relaxed, slumping over a little. "They hate Grimland students though... I have no idea why... But how's Cassidy? He looks annoying to me."

Keith shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe they have a grudge or something. And, he's actually really nice. he seemed really nervous talking to me though..."

"Oh." Yarrow points over to the cafeteria. "There it is! Lets go."

Cassidy, Samuel and Ashling all went over to the cafeteria and found a fairly large line up for lunch. Oh well... guess this'll take a while.

They took a smallish table so no one would join them. Cassidy poked his food around a little before deciding he would bother with it. "So, Samuel. That girl's in our class."

Samuel groaned. "Oh please, Cassidy. Lets just drop that..."

"Awww." Cassidy smirked. "But it's so fun..."

"No. Ashling, I hope getting settled wasn't too difficult for you."

Ashling smiled. "No. Luna's  great, she helped me a lot. I'm happy I was put with such a kind roommate."

"Well, that's great! How's your roommate, Cassidy?" Samuel turned to him.

"O-oh... he's uh..." Cassidy stumbled over his words, unsure how to respond. Cassidy! Come on! Just talk, it's not that hard...

"He's perfe- good. he's good."

Samuel grinned. "Oh, he's good? That's great."

"Shut up."

"Oh?" Samuel smirked, enjoying himself. "How the tables turn..."

"I said shut up."
