"Can I get you guys anything?" The flight attendants quiet voice softly rang through my ears from behind me, as I slowly woke up.

I stretched my arms out before leaning forward to see Asher asleep in Evelyn's arms while Evelyn was also knocked out, The Great Gatsby still playing on the TV screen.

"Do you need anything?" The flight attendant asked as she came up beside me. I look up at the middle aged woman who was smiling down at me, shaking my head. I didn't feel like talking right now, besides the fact that I was still half asleep and exhausted, my voice was hoarse and my throat hurt a little.

There was a ding that came from the overhead speakers before a voice came on, "Good afternoon, this is your captain speaking. We still have a little over an hour left before we land. We appear to be going through some light turbulence so make sure you remain in your seats until the seatbelt lights go back out. Thank you." It clicks above before the seat belt lights turn on. Of course now I have to pee.

Evelyn starts to stir, making the blanket slide off of her. I reach over the little wall and pick it up, draping it back over her arms, making sure Asher's face isn't covered. The pacifier that was in his mouth before was falling out and the grip he had on the little lion lovey was looser, but still in his hand. He drags that thing everywhere, it's the only reason he slept while he stayed in my mom's room the night of the Finals.

Evelyn's AirPod was somehow still in her ear, I don't know how. Mine always fall out when I fall asleep while traveling.

I started to turn on a movie when I heard Asher starting to fuss. Reaching over, I gently pick him up before he wakes Evelyn up, placing him in a sitting position on my knee, my hands behind his back. We both became extremely light sleepers the minute he was born. I swear one little sneeze wakes us up.

He starts to calm down as I bounce him on my leg, "You're okay, Bub." I say softly, slipping a blue pacifier in his mouth with one hand and softly patting his back with my other.

He almost immediately calmed down, looking up at me with a big smile on his face that I couldn't help but mimic. His big blue eyes lighting up at me. "See, all better." I say quietly.

He reaches for the sippy cup sitting on the ledge next to us and I reach over and grab it. He takes it in his hands before basically shoving it in his mouth. Once he decides he's done with it, he hands it out towards me and I set it back down on the ledge. He rubs his eyes before looking around. The little girl in the seat across the aisle from us looks up from her iPad, smiling at him and he waves. That's the first person that's smiled at him that he hasn't cried at. Maybe it's because she's a kid.
