Ajax groaned quietly before pulling his gray, denim backpack off the beige and yellow tiles of the classroom floor. With that, the sound of students conversing and metal chair legs sliding across the floor flooded the room.

"Remember everyone! IXL C.5 and 6 are due tomorrow Friday."

Ms. Cooper called out, but her words most likely fell onto deaf ears judging by how many of the students had simply brushed this off- It was the last week of school, a Thursday I'll have you know. Freedom was so close you could almost taste it- Summer break tasted like hot air, sea salt, and sand. It wasn't pleasant, but Summer Break was really the end of Middle School for everyone in this grade level, and soon, Highschool.

Ajax stood up, shaking a little before swinging the bag over their shoulders and heading out the door. The hallways of this place was noisy and crowded, with way too many kids running around, leaning besides their lockers and loudly talking to their friends in an effort to let them hear what they had to say.

He took a few moments to stare- I mean look at some of the other students. So many faces that he should recognize, but he couldn't. ' mean, I recognize Christine from History. We sat next to each other but never spoke..'

'And then there's Bao who was chatting with a tall blonde dude- ;We met.. Actually I don't remember. No matter.' He sped up it's pace, heading down the staircase while tracing a thin hand over the railing. 'Why do I always think like I'm narrating a story?'

Turning, Ajax finally made it to the exit and stepped out into open sunlight. It was much quieter, probably because out in the open wasn't cramped. 'Oh hey what if I just start narrating this! Umm, hmm, Ajax walked over to the bike rack, leaning down to unlock his bike'

The ravenette cringed a little bit internally as he thought. 'God dammit this feels weird.'

Ajax sighed to himself again as they flicked the metal gears to the correct numbers before pulling the blue chain lock open with a 'clink'. Soon afterwards, the ravenette pulled his bike out of the rack and rolled it out to the front.

It was always a surprise to see how fast students will leave school. The front was already basically empty, he noted, climbing onto the seat and using the back of one foot, moving the pedal forward enough so he could push it- Soon enough, he found himself relaxing as the warm summer winds brushed up against their face and ran through his medium length hair.

'Today was fine' He thought, thinking back on the lessons during class- Ajax.. Didn't have a good attention span for subjects he wasn't interested in so it was hard to remember.

Though, there was one class that stood out the most. The ravenette with glasses stopped, applying pressure to the right brake as he slowed down by a sidewalk, the light ahead a vibrant red with a hand symbol. Cars whooshed by and Ajax could see a paper or some sort of food wrapper get kicked up by the wind- He looked away to the street again before hitting the button nearby.

History class was the only lesson that had sparked some semblance of interest. Mainly because it was covering more current issues, like what had happened like what- 10? Maybe 11 years ago?

It was covering stuff on the Perpetual Heart, Agatha, and the Eternal Array so he had nothing to complain about except for the fact that the last day of school is tomorrow and he absolutely sucks at remembering what he needs to look up sometimes; Honestly he should have expected this lesson to be so short. It was going to be the end of the school year and they had already covered their mandatory lessons- The lessons about the current state of the world was brought up by someone from history- A student named Ying who Ajax vaguely remembered talking to during Elementary, something about wanting to be friends but Ying seemed to have forgotten it.
