I thanked him for giving me drive home while not trying to get so worked out about him and me.

"I'll see you tomorrow at KoiKo?" sabi niya sa akin.

"Great, so... how was today?"

"I had so much fun, Errol." I smiled widely at him. "Thank you so much for spending today with me. You guys are right, I should focus on some other things too beside work."

"I'm glad, then. Just tell me whenever you want to relax, I'll try to accommodate you."

"Thanks for this! Bayad na ako sa working hours mo ha!" lumabas na ako ng sasakyan niya. "Drive safe, Errol-kun."

The next morning, magkasunod kaming dumating ni Errol sa cafe. There wasn't even an air of any awkwardness sa amin. I can say na we really are like in that kind of stage na comfortable kami sa isa't isa, even in silence.

"Errol, until when do you plan to do volunteer work here?" Wala sa isip kong tanong sa kanya habang nag pupunas ng mga coffee mugs and glasses using a clean rug.

"Hmmm... As long as I can, I guess? It's fun here and I enjoy what I am doing..." he answered while mopping the floor. "Why? You want me out?"

I shook my head, rushing to clarify it so he would not misunderstood. "No, that's not what I meant... I just think that whatever you are doing here does not really suit you." I told him, pertaining about him sweeping the floor or wiping tables.

"It's okay, I do not mind. Just enjoy the extra marketing value I am giving you." Then he winked at me. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to ask about this one...

"So... you are liking the attention...?" Tanong ko, trying to use it to build up sa gusto ko talagang malaman.

"Not really, but I like the attention I am getting from you." then he smiled a little.

"Lande." irap ko naman, di pinapatulan yung trip niya. "Siguro you are doing all this to pick up some girls, right? Or maybe you are actually enjoying whenever our girl customers hit on you, is that it?" He scoffed at my statement.

"Kiku, you sound jealous..." pinanlakihan ko sya ng mata pero tinawanan lang niya yun. "No, those are not it. I just really like the ambience here and I also get to learn from you. I am not after any dumb things like you're accusing me of." He finally said with a serious tone.

"Binigay mo nga yun number mo dun sa isang rude customer dati." I mumbled to myself in irritation. Still pissed that he has to give his number because that girl was giving me the 'attitude'.

"What did you say?" He said, with a hint of tease in his voice. "Wait, are you being like this because you  really thought I gave my number away?" Lumapit sya sa akin at nilapit ang mop sa kanya so he can rest his chin on it.

"Bakit? Hindi ba?" I mean that was their deal so I really thought he did not mind giving his number around if it meant less trouble.

"Nope, I did not. Well actually, I was gonna... but then I thought I love my privacy so... I told her that we are actually kind of... married..?" sabi niya, tinatantsa yung timing ng mga salita based on my reaction. "so I asked if she still wants it then she said no. End of story."
