"Don't let go."
The boat had just snapped and he had to use all of his strength to hold on, with one hand on the railings and one still on Quinn's. People screamed all around as they or their loved ones fell, right infront of their eyes. Someone nearby was throwing chairs overboard for people to hold onto. He looked down at a couple next to him, the girl with long, ginger hair and the boy with blonde. He and the boy started into each others eyes.
"Jack." The girl murmered. The boy looked away.
Suddenly he heard a horrible sound, one he hadn't expected.
"JAAACE!!" Quinn screamed.
He suddenly realised Quinn's hand was gone from his.
"QUINN! NO!" Jace shouted back, looking away from the people around him.
"No, no, no, no!" He stared, frozen at the sight of Quinn falling.
He looked around once more before jumping down from the edge on to the pretty much vertical decks below. He fell fast, yet to him it it was slow, he could get to Quinn fast enough. He could hear his heart beating in his ears but that sounded so quiet now. Everything did. All he could hear was Quinn. Then he heard a splash. He took a deep breath as he fell faster and faster before he too plunged down into what felt like an ocean of knives. It was so cold.
'I need to find Quinn.' He thought. That was all he thought. That's when he saw a familiar face. He swam towards them and grabbed their hand, then dragged them above the water.
"Quinn!" Jace yelled over the sound of the chaos.
"Why did you follow me!?" Quinn replied, "You should have stayed on the boat when I fell until you could get on the life boats!"
"Quinn.. I followed you because I.. I love you."
Quinn's face turned to shock.
"If you die, I die."
Quinn stared at Jace and then pulled him into a hug.
"Quinn, we need to swim. We can find a l- life boat and get in!" Jace explained hopefully.
Quinn pulled away and nodded.
"Let's go."
They swam and swam as fast as they could when something began to happen next to them.
"Q- Quinn?" Jace began, "The- The rest of the Titanic is s- sinking..."
"SWIM!"

They continued swimming as fast as they could, now holding hands again so they don't get separated, but before they could get anywhere a massive splash behind them pushed them away.
"HOLD ON JACE.'"
They were both separated again.

Jace was pushed backwards. He opened his eyes and looked around under the water trying to find Quinn. He struggled to get above the icy water to take a breath. His lungs felt like collapsing but he had to continue on. His body was pretty much numb at this point. He swam, ignoring all the pained screams around him.
"Q- Quinn! Wh- ere are y- you!?" Jace shivered.
"Jace!" He heard.
"Quinn, where did you go!" Jace shouted back.
He suddenly felt hands on his shoulder pushing him down. Someone behind him was trying to stay above the water. Jace struggled for breath as he went down.
"Get off of him."
The next thing Jace knew, Quinn had pushed the person away and was helping him above water. Jace took a deep, shaky breath.
"Thank g- goodness your ok- ay." Quinn muttered.
"Let's swim over there, I see some parts of the boat floating in the w- water. Maybe we can rest on there." Jace said as he stared into the distance.
Quinn nodded and they continued to swim. They got closer and saw the girl from earlier laying on a door and the boy holding onto the edge. The continued to swim past. Everything was getting quieter as many froze. Their bodies forever lost in history.
"L-ook Jace, there's s- something over there we could get on." Quinn exclaimed.
Jace nodded slightly. They swam over to what looked like part of one walls.
"It isn't big enough for both of us..." Jace realised.
"Let's t- take turns." Quinn said.
"Okay." Jace agreed.
"You f- f- first." Quinn stuttered.
Jace crept onto the wall.
"A- A lifeboat will come soon, I h- heard them saying about it on the sh- ship, just a few more hours." Quinn explained.
Jace put his hand on Quinn's.
"I love you Jace." Quinn said.
"Don't s- say your goodbyes yet Quinn, we're both gonna l- live and- and grow old together." Jace spoke.
"Just r- remember it Jace.."

Jace slowly dozed off to sleep in the freezing cold air. He woke up so the sound a boat and shouting voices. A life boat!
"Q- Quinn! Quinn! The boats h- here! It came l- like you s- said!" Jace whispered.
Quinn didn't move.
"Quinn, w- wake up! The boats here to s- save us!" Jace continued.
He moved his hand and began shaking Quinn's arm.
"Q- Quinn, Wake up! We c- can get on the life boat now!"
"Quinn?"
Quinn didn't move. Jace heard a whistle being blown in the distance, getting louder and louder. There was another survivor. A tear rolled down Jace's cheek as he stared at Quinn's pale face, freezing as it fell. He looked around and slid into the water. He tried to swim as far as he could, his body still weak from the cold. Jace looked back at Quinn's body, still holding on the the wall. He sighed and swam away. He saw a boat bringing a girl out of the water. If only he could get over there. He strained to swim closer. He could see the boat clearly now. He was going to survive! The boat began to drift closer, he was nearly there. He couldn't feel anything anymore, there was just cold all around. Suddenly his body seemed to stop. He was so tired and struggled to move or breathe and before he knew it he'd passed out.

He woke up very soon after, realising he was underwater. He swam up as fast as he could but by that time the rescue boat had left.
'Oh no.'
There was no way he could survive this now. There were no boats in sight. No one nearby was moving and there were no lights. There was no way he could get out of this. If only it was a dream.

He didn't last much longer...
