Vision (LV6)

Chronos's Vision is more like a piece of him rather than an ornament. Instead of being worn like an amulet, or a necklace, or embedded into clothing, the glowing gem fashioned in traditional Inazuman borders is embedded into his armour. From the day he received it to now, he has never known how or why it appeared. This story begins several hundred years ago, around 500 years ago, and shortly after The Cataclysm. Chronos wandered far, far from his homeland into the islands of Inazuma, following fellow Ruin Guards and Sentinels across the oceans. Upon arriving at Narukami Island, he split off from them, and scoured around Araumi, searching for a past that was recently destroyed. He tore apart Rifthounds as he patrolled a straight, unwavering line along the beaches, splitting their bones all across the sand like they had done to his people. He never wavered from there, and was not seen as a threat for many, many years.

Ei eventually took note of this peculiar soldier tearing through enemies like paper, and requested a terrifyingly large platoon to detain him. Yet for the combat prowess he displayed, he did not struggle against them and was easily taken to Tenshukaku. Having successfully captured the "machine," she went about modifying him to see if she could bring him under her own control. Ordering a duel between Chronos and the Shogun, she watched them fight for nearly half an hour until the Shogun casted the Musou no Hitotachi. To her utter defiance and shock, Chronos managed to deflect and return its force back towards the Shogun, heavily damaging it. Upon the grinding metal and smoke clearing, a bright Electro Vision sat within Chronos's palms, which he fastened under his neck, fusing it with his armour, and uttering the words, "Run... run... run..."

Character Details

Chronos is an exemplary soldier; one unrivaled in all arts, especially in the spear.

Working for the Shogun directly, many know not to question what he does. The man's armour and clothing is quite different from the rest of the shogunate, and his head is almost entirely encased with dark metal.

Donning ink-black clothing trimmed with amethyst that represents a trench coat embedded with plates of armour elegantly fixed across his legs, chest, and arms, the mere appearance of him is enough to send treasure hoarders scrambling for the hills.

He rarely speaks, but when he does, they're always deep with purpose and order, conveying something the Shogun ordered to him.

When asked about anything that doesn't lie within the constraints of the Shogun's command, he simply does not say anything.

"My orders do not contain speaking with you. Do not disturb me further."

Character Story 1 (LV2)

No one really knows where Chronos came from; not even himself. Some rumor that he came from Mondstadt, considering that he doesn't have a family or clan name. Some think he came from a forgotten nation. Some think that he isn't even human with how he acts, and have used that as a motive against him.

The Shogun instructed him three fundamental orders following an incident that left three harassers smeared across the streets of Hanamizaka in their own flesh and blood.

He must obey any and all orders given to him by the Shogun.
He is to protect his own existence, as long as it does not conflict with the first order.

He may not injure any other beings. The first and second orders may overrule this order.

Very few know of what lies underneath that helmet of his. Only his left eye seems to function, and it always glows a sheen of violet that pierces through the fog.

From that day onwards, he is rarely seen in the city, although the murder of the three only escalated the harassment of the Sentinel.
