HE TOOK THE SHOWER FIRST once we both got back to the lake home. We were soaking wet coming back in but I wouldn't change a single thing, everything felt like it was placed just right in the timecard of life.

The only thing that I am weary about is that he kept the notebook with him.

I kind of want it back.

But he's in the shower and what if he comes out right as I'm in there? What if I go to his room and he's already done? Both options really suck.

Lightbulb

I grab some towels from the closet, bringing it downstairs to his room placing it right in front of the door to the bathroom, taking the other towels that he had already used away so that they could get washed. I'll just act like I had to make some runs around the house and then I'll snatch it back.

Trudging my way back up the stairs to the washroom where i place the dirty towels in the wash. The image of the notebook was left out in the open of the room, right there on the bed.

"Where are the towels?" He calls out to me.

Did he not see them?

"By the door?" I call back out, stepping out onto the doorway of the washroom.

He pauses for a second

"They're not there" he says back.

I grip the door handle tighter than I probably should.

"I put them in the wash, they reeked" they smelt great

"Shucks, I wish you didn't put it in yet. I was hoping to put some of my dirty clothes in with it" he sounds slightly disappointed, "so did you forget to bring me some towels? I'm washing the floors almost because of my hair"

"By the door" I repeat to him.

But he doesn't get it and so he starts up the stairs, and so I retreat back into the washroom.

"I'm decent!" He calls out from the stairway.

I inch back out peeking out to the stairway, seeing Komori in some sweats and a muscle shirt. It doesn't really suit him.

"Are you dumb?" I ask leading him back into his room, stopping on one side of the entryway to the bathroom. He comes trailing behind, finally making it to the other side. I point down at the floor, "by the door".

He looks down and finds the towels folded neatly on the floor and immediately facepalms himself. "You meant THAT door" he chuckles lightly, making your heart skip a beat. He walks away from the door, picking up the notebook and handing it back to you.

"I don't know why I held onto it so long but I'm sure you want it back" he rubs his nape.

"Thanks"

"Have ideas?" He asks as I'm getting ready to walk out the door.
