IT TAKES FOREVER TO NOTICE that there's someone at my door

IT TAKES FOREVER TO NOTICE that there's someone at my door. At first I thought it was the poor newspaper boy that gives out the once-a-year free newspaper to see if I want to subscribe. But the knocking continues.

I stir in my sleep, trying to ignore the odd knocking at my front door.

And then my phone rings, blasting out some random tune that I didn't set. I force myself to wake up and read the contact name on the screen.

"Hello" I say groggily, pushing myself up and out of bed.

"Hey bestie" Atsumu chirps into the phone.

"Yo" I respond, "I keep hearing this knocking noise at my front door, it sounds odd"

"Open the door and find out" Atsumu says again, easing me over to the door.

But I still find whatever is on the other side of the door like a mystery that I don't want to find out. I trust Atsumu though, and so, I open the door. And well enough —the tension is gone— and there's nothing to worry about.

Atsumu stands in front of the group, holding a box of what you assume is his clothes. Not the whole team is here but most. Akagi is in the back, just hoping to see your face again. And then there's Kita, Ojiro, Osamu and Suna.

"I'm still offended that you didn't invite me to watch the movie with you" Atsumu is so petty.

"You were too busy at that damn reunion" I'm stubborn and petty so it's fine.

"It was fun" he grins, finally handing me my box of clothes that he decided to take from me that one day.

"Are we gonna ignore that [y/n] is without a shirt right now?" Ojiro points down to my chest without trying to be rude. I don't take any offense.

"Who else is gonna see?" I ask, "I trust that you guys won't do anything"

"I'm flattered—" Kita starts.

But then Suna peeks over my shoulders, "he's gonna"

So I just have to look. And I find tired Komori yawning into the living room, finding me shirtless in front of a group of boys at the doorway. He quickly looks away and tries to find something in the kitchen.

"Why were you shirtless anyways?"

"I got hot" I say bluntly.

And then our old energetic libero Akagi pushes the group into two —splitting the team like the Red Sea— and hugging you. "Who cares if she's shirtless?" He asks getting defensive, "it means y'all are trying to take a peek"

"Well.. Atsumu accidentally got a peek once" I slipped into the conversation. Akagi lets go of me in surprise and then turns to Atsumu who's a blushing mess and now won't stop rubbing his nape. Weirdly enough, the first time the Miya twins came over, they got settled in quick so Atsumu opening doors and joining you with whatever we may be doing. But I ended up forgetting to lock my doors —so they don't come in— and Atsumu got an eyeful. "It's a long story"

"Uh huh" Osamu chimes in, in an unamused tone.

Atsumu runs right past me, following Komori into the kitchen. By this, I start to smell the scent of breakfast cooking in the kitchen all the way to the entryway. He gives Komori a hard slap on the back and greets him with a smile, "what's up my man?"

"Nothing much"

He hums, as if pondering something, "you should come with us"

"Who's us?" Both Komori and I ask as I enter the room with the rest of the team.

"Remember the guys from the youth training camp I went to in high school with? Kageyama, Sakusa, Hoshiumi, but Hinata and Bokuto want to come with" Atsumu explains with a bright smile trying to ease on the idea.

"I don't mind them coming I guess"

"I'm gonna try and get Kageyama drunk again, that was so fucking funny" Atsumu snickers, helping himself to some Greek yogurt in the refrigerator.

"That was exhausting having to deal with that guy" Komori sighs, "poor thing accidentally slipped on his teams game plan because he was drunk"

"Anyways" Akagi drags on so my attention goes to him, "you got mail [y/n] about some lake party. Are you going to go?"

"I probably should but I don't want to" I comment, "it's gonna be rich old geezers trying to live it up for the night"

Atsumu whips his head around to look at me so fast, I thought he would get whiplash. He looks extremely offended and honestly it doesn't look good on him. "So you're gonna go to that party but not ours?"

"Chill, Tsumu. I didn't say for sure that I was going" I almost groan at his whiny-ness if that's even a word.

He turns back around and slams the refrigerator door —I swear I heard something fall in there once the door closed— stomping away to some random room downstairs. Slamming that door too once he gets inside. It truly does remind me of a little kid throwing a temper tantrum in a place that ain't his.

"Sorry that he's like that" Osamu apologizes but then continuously swears under his breath.

Suna pokes his head around so he can see over shoulders, looking out the sliding doors that lead to the balcony. "He's taking the kayak" he mentions.

"I don't care, let him do what he wants" I sigh, going off to change into normal clothes, "I'm gonna get ice cream, anybody want some too?"

"New York vanilla" Suna suggests.

"Like a basic bitch" Akagi frowns in his face.

"Get those little cups of ice cream of different flavors do you don't buy 12 tubs of ice cream" Kita suggests quietly behind all the madness, "they'll get freezer burnt if you leave them in too long".

"You should get Atsumu something with caramel" Osamu points out, "or mint"

I grab the keys off the hook, hooking it onto my finger instead, nearly out the door. "Atsumu ain't getting' nothin', he's the one who walked off" I grumble slamming the door behind me.

He's so annoying
