Chapter III - A Possibility For Prosperity

Krul POV

I was still in my cell but Y/N was here with me so I was happy. Ever since he came to my rescue, I've started to enjoy his presence...and his blood since it was the only food source I have and he willingly lets me drink his blood.

Krul: So you said that you also fight. That means you have a cursed gear right?

Y/N: Yeah, but I actually have two.

Krul:Really?

Y/N: Yep.

Krul: Interesting. Umm... C-Can I drink some more of your blood?

Y/N: *reveals his neck* Of course.

I immediately got on top of Y/N's lap and sunk my fangs into his neck and started drinking.

Y/N: So Krul. I'm sure you know that the reason I'm allowed to see you so much is because I made a deal to get you to surrender to peace negotiations, right? Well, I'd like to talk about those. I don't know how long they'll let me see you so I'm not going to ask for unconditional surrender because that's suicide. Whenever you're ready, I'd like to know what terms you'd like.

After I finished drinking his blood, I looked him in the eyes.

Krul: Well first, I want to be out of this damn cage.

Y/N: I can have that rearranged.

Krul: Good. Second, Vampires are to be treated equally. It's supposed to peace negotiation or a better would be armistice.

Y/N: That's fair.

Krul: We still need blood to survive so that'll have to be worked out. While we can eat human food, it does us little to no good for energy and nutrients.

Y/N: Hmm...I see. *smiles* Anything else?

Krul: I think you're overlooking a huge problem with an armistice.

Y/N: I'm guessing not everyone will be willing to have an armistice?

Krul: Precisely. I have no idea how many vampires are truly loyal to me. I only know one is.

Y/N: I see... but you are open to the idea of an armistice?

Krul: *soft smile* Only because of you. You've given me a sliver of hope that humanity can redeem itself from what I've seen.

Y/N: *hugs her* I promise I'll make it happen.

Krul: (He's hugging me so tightly...I can feel his warmth...it's calming. I know I admire him but...am I falling in love with a human? I can't deny that I'm enjoying this situation. He's shown me nothing more than kindness and compassion. He really has given me hope that humans and vampires can live amongst each other...*giggles* I guess it's safe to say that I do love him.) *hugs back* Thank you very much Y/N...

Y/N: You're welcome.

I then got off of Y/N's lap and I rested my head on his shoulder with a smile. I stayed like that until he had to leave for classes...maybe I can convince them to let me join the school.

Y/N POV

After saying goodbye to Krul, I walked into my classroom and Yuu was staring at me. I smiled and waved before sitting down in my seat which was between her and Shinoa.

Yuu: I see you're back...

Y/N: Yeah.

Shinoa: So how are things going~?

Y/N: *smiles* great.

Yuu: Is that because of the fang marks on your neck?

Y/N: *sighs* Listen Yuu. Krul and I have gotten close and we're finally talking about a possible armistice. Also, they don't feed her anything so if letting her drink my blood is what keeps her alive, fine. You have to think about the future and the butterfly affect. One gentle breeze from one side of the world can cause a hurricane in the other. Our actions all have consequences.
