It all started a few months ago, when the abductions began to occur. My husband, Albert began to act strangely. He would often disappear into the basement, claiming that he was doing "construction" and "not to go down" but I knew he was lying. Whenever his younger brother Max would present to us about his theories and "discoveries" about the grabber, Albert would act strangely. Zoning out, fidgeting, and avoiding the subject.

"It's most likely nothing." I whispered, ignoring the thumbing against my chest. I've known Albert nearly all my life, he wouldn't hide anything from me. I could hear my footsteps banging against the stairs as I walk down, I look up the way I came seeing if Albert or Max would be there. Once I've reached the door, I took a deep breathe.

'Wait. Why is there a lock? Why is it locked?' I wondered, slightly panicking. Slowly unlocking it, and pushing my way through, my eyes began to explore the room. Instantly, my eyes widened.

"Oh Al..." I whispered as I stared at the young boy on the mattress, by lips began to tremble and I began to shake. The boy stood up from the bed and instantly began to beg me to help him.

"You have to help me! Please, I need to leave!" He screamed at me as he got on his knees sobbing.

"I...I-" I had no idea what to say, this was a complete shock. The man who I've loved for many decades was "The Grabber", the same man who would hold me at night, buy me flowers, and always brighten my day. How could someone like him be so cruel? Our short conversation was interrupted when the front door slammed shut, indicating that either Max and Albert was home.

'Oh, please be Max." I prayed to the universe, listening to the footsteps go into the kitchen. I looked at the boy, eyes furrowed. Foot steps began to come down the stairs, I did not have the guts to turn around and see who was to join the victim and I.

"Oh honey, I really wish you didn't find out." Was all I heard before everything went black.
