Ashley Purdy and my sister

3 years later

I sat there in a chair holding the tiny new born baby. Her little eyes were tight shut and she had a tight grip round my finger. She was called Olivia Keira Purdy. It was such a beautiful name for her, and she really suited it. I was caught in a moment of awe and my mind started drifting back to years ago when we first went to America. If that holiday hadnt happened I dont know what would have happened. We were still living in the same house in Scotland and this Christmas we had invited some friends over. 3 years had gone whirling past with ups a downs and now I was finally here with Beccy and Ashleys little baby.

I could hear Jinxx in the music room teaching Sammy how to play violin. Sammy was now 8 and a lot more responsible. The tantrums had stopped and I didnt have to worry about being murdered anymore. CC was watching family guy with Ella Cole next to him texting. She couldn't care less about family guy. Andy was talking to my dad in the kitchen, looking over a map about where to go for their next tour. Mum was busily preparing tea with Juliet Simms moving back and forth from the table to the kitchen with cutlery and food. Jake and Beccy were playing outside in the snow and Ashley was putting wood on the stove we have while I just sat there gazing around me, content and finally at home.

" lIt's a long story how we all got here today." I said to baby Olivia. "and about your mum and dad." She gurgled and opened her deep brown eyes. She was a mini Ashley thats for sure. The fond memories which we now laugh over today flashed through my mind. Brodie was still somewhere in America near Ashleys old house. He sees him sometimes. Old memories of my obsession over BVB and always dreaming of seeing them live at concerts, of talking to them and buying band merch and posters sometimes just to see their faces. That was now old times. Now I can see them whenever I like and all I have to do is demand a chip or walk a few steps to talk to them. It's just normal now, but still something special. It will always be something special. We are all one big happy family, I mean, Ashleys my brother in law! So no more posters or dreams of meeting them, just chilling out with them as if lifes always been that way! I looked down at Olivia again, the latest member of my now perfect family.

"If only you knew how we got here today. You are very precious and belong to the greatest people there ever were." and, unless it was a trick of the light, I'm sure I just saw her wink....
