Chapter Two written by Hunter.

I woke up the next morning to the sun rising, I
sat up taking notice of the pain in my neck,
sleeping on a backpack is even more
uncomfortable than you would expect. The
feeling of hopelessness seemed to hit me as I
looked around, I was alone. I didn't have any
plans and I definitely couldn't go back, nor
did I want to.

The worry and painful memories about what
happened seemed to hit me hard yet I felt
strangely... free. I didn't have to hide
anymore, or worry about my family finding
me or yelling at me anymore. I did it, I finally
escaped. I never expected to do it, let alone
right now, nor in this way yet I felt a strange
sense of pride that I did it.

I looked through my backpack once again,
though I knew the contents wouldn't change.
I still had hope that maybe I had missed
something. I let out a sigh pulling out my
notebook and pencil, drawing and writing
tended to calm me down, it would always
take me away from reality for a while.
And right now that was everything I wanted,
to escape this reality, it was what I needed. I
couldn't help but daydream about escaping
this world and joining the avengers, none of
them exactly had amazing pasts and well.
we at least had that in common. It was easier
to accept my situation knowing that some of
my heroes had been through hell yet made it.
It was only a dream yet I found comfort in it as I sketched out a drawing of my favourite
heroes.

I kept drawing until I couldn't ignore the
discomfort in my stomach, I had to get some
food soon. I didn't want to spend my money
as I didn't know when I would have the
chance to get more, I still didn't have any
idea as to what I was going to do, how I was
going to survive on my own.
I walked into the store, trying not to freak
out, stores gave me anxiety as it was, the
lights, the people. It was all too
overwhelming. That combined with my
current mental state was not a good plan,
luckily there weren't a lot of people here. I
decided to just grab a few cheap snacks so l
could eat them on the go without burning too
much of a hole into my pocket, amongst
those were some cheap protein bars,
hopefully they would give me enough energy
to last until I found a place to go.

When I left the store, I felt panicked again.
Usually I could just leave and go back home
but now I had nowhere to go. I sat back down
in my usual spot with my backpack at my feet
and sobbed into my hands.
