8- Escape(CHOICE 2)

I look around before finding a vent.

"Over there!"

Cash looks over at it and back at me.

"You're a genius!"

We scramble over to the vents, yank them open and crawl in sus-style. It wouldn't be very effective if I wasn't a superhuman weight lifter, but I yanked off the vent cover with ease.

We climb through the vents. It's very tight, and he is very close behind me. I try not to make it awkward but it's hard.

"Ow! You knelt on my foot! Be more careful!"

"Then hurry up, slowpoke!"

I speed up and immediately fall through a vent.

"Player?!"

"Ow.." I rub my forehead, now complete with a headache.

I look up to see a tall, tan person staring at me. She had a cap on top of her dark hair which was pulled into a ponytail.

"What the hell??"

Cash then falls right on top of me, crushing me in the process.

" O w . . "

"Oh my god! I am so sorry! Are you okay?!"

And there we were, me probably needing to go to the hospital, and him lying right on top of me.

It would almost be romantic if all my bones weren't fucking broken.

"WAIT- CASHIER????"

So this person knows Cash. Okayyy.

"YO, JENNA?!?!"

He gets up and hugs Jenna, while I lay in pain.

"Wow, so happy you two are reunited-"

'Jenna' helps me up and introduces herself, "Hey, I'm Jenna! Are you okay?"

"Yeah.. I'm fine. Just a little sore," I rub my back, sore, "I'm Player by the way.."

Her eyes widen, "No way! The player?? Cashier talks about you all the time."

I blush, "He- does?"

Cash looks away, "Jenna!"

"Hey, it's true! Hah, anyway, it's so great to meet you!" She launches herself forward and started hugging me.

"Yeah, it's great to meet you too-" I reply, confused.

She lets go of me, "Anyway, dude, the boss says that if you don't stop playing that weird undertale song you're going to get fired."

"Hey, that's a good song!"

Cash likes Megolovania so much he'd play it on repeat? I don't know if that's really a good thing..

"Okay, sure, Spider Dance is a pretty good song.. but you still can't play it ON LOOP."

Oh. Never mind then.

They keep arguing about the song until I decide I need to get back home.

"Sorry guys, but I have to go. This was fun! Goodbye!"

"Aw, see ya Player!"

I begin running home and try not to start screaming. Who was she? Did she like Cash? And why was I so.. different around her?

"Wait.." I think while stopping in my tracks, "Am I.. jealous of her?"

I run home. By the time I get there, I am far too tired to stay awake; but as I climb into my covers I find that I cannot fall asleep.
Who was that girl anyway? Is she really just a coworker? Nothing more? What if she's Cash's ex-girlfriend or something?
