Chapter 2

I looked out the window of the Volvo that Philza was driving. It was a sort of grey blue car only it was really dirty and had some sort of mud-like substance along the rim of the car. The inside was very clean grey leather seats lined with a thin layer of dust. I looked out of the window next to me. Outside it seemed like there was a sea of trees. Never ending.

Everything was so peaceful. So calm. We turned down a long winding dirt road that I think I may have been down before.

It was only when I noticed the Field Lemon Elm Trees. A rare type of tree that only grows in or very close to the area of L'Manburg.

"You All live in L'Manburg!?!" I said excitedly. I think I was a bit too loud because Techno just looked at me funny before Philza responded.

"Yeah we do Mate! We live in Pogtin." He chuckled, his laugh made me feel so warm inside.

"Pogtin! Really! I've got a few friends who live there!" I smiled.

"Really? Who?" Wilbur asked curiously.

"A person named Eret and a Girl Named Niki! They own my favourite cafe! Well mainly Eret because She started it but that doesn't matter! It's called LG-" I started but then quickly stopped remembering what Mr Vince had told me. No gay stuff. Ever. It's not acceptable. I was quickly snapped out of my thoughts by Wilbur responding.

"LGBTeaQ+? I've been there, I'm pretty good friends with Niki! Eret on the other hand... Me had them, well uh, He and I haven't had the best relationship..."

"I think you should make up, they're so kind and forgiving! I'm sure they'll forgive you for whatever happened between you two." I said hopefully.

"As much as I would like that, That most likely wouldn't happen. I messed up when it came to us."

"What happened?" I asked, probably pushing too far.

"Stop being all sappy and shit we're home." Techno said interrupting while glaring at Wilbur.

I got out of the car after everyone else did and went to the back to grab my bag which Techno was already holding...?

"Oh, um, I'll take my bag you don't have too..." I said holding my hand out to grab it.

"Hey Kid, why is the bag so light? What do you have like Twelve outfits total and that's it?'' He said seriously, grabbing the attention of Wilbur and Philza, who were farther up the path from the group parking lot into the lobby of the apartment building.

"No! I have umm," I started pausing to think and count, "five outfits! Although only two of them are mine, the others were my past roommates and Deo's..." I said I felt my face get a bit warm at the thought of Deo, she was so kind and my first real friend. I prayed that they wouldn't notice because of how dark it was. Deo was the only person other than Eret and Niki that knew I was a Transgender Lesbian.

"Wait so you're saying that you only own two of the outfits in there?" Philza said, stepping into the conversation.

"Yeah, but that's not all that's in there! I have.... Ummmm... what else do I have in there... oh! Henry!" I smiled.

"What or who's Henry?" Wilbur asked.

"Henry's the only thing my Mom gave me before she sent me to the system!" I said.

"Oh, alright then!" Philza said. "Why don't we go inside? It's getting cold out here." With that we all went into the large building. I took note of the street names, Foxtin and Hunter, right by Eret and Niki! I could walk there and get my job back!
