((How about we say that instead of the turtles currently facing the rat problem, this time period is after they defeated the rat king and mikey left the kitty home (she wasn't mutated when they left) ^-^))
They were on their way back home when the turtles heard a scream coming from the lair. "Whoa!.. what was that dudes!?"
"I don't know mikey, but let's go find out. C'mon guys!" Leo yelled as he ran towards the scream.
When they got to the entrance there was a trial of mutagen across the floor that started at the lab and ended behind the couch. Mikey creeped around the couch and his eyes widen, "it's it's a girl!" "What?? How did a girl get in here!?" Leo ran over, followed by the others, to see for himself and gaped. "What the hell..?" Donnie peered over Leo and noticed mutagen still in her hair, "she didn't get in..." he stepped in front of Leo and realized that she wasn't just human. She had ginger colored ears with a long matching tail, she was half cat. He groaned "mikey I told you to close the lab doors!" "Hey! Raph was the last one out, it was him!" Raph scoffed "don't even try to blame this one on me, mikey. this was all you." "Nuh uh!"
Leo rolled his eyes at the bickering but jumped when splinter hit his cane against the floor. "Enough! This is no time to argue, this girl needs help... and she needs clothes, Donatello go get some extra clothing from April's room, Raphael get me a cold wash cloth." Both nodded and we're off to get what splinter asked for. Leo and mikey cleared the couch and splinter laid her down with a blanket covering her. "How did this happen?" Splinter asked with a raised eye brow. "April brought in a stray cat this morning and asked for us to watch her, and since SOMEONE left the lab doors open the cat must have gotten into Donnie's mutagen supply." Leo explained. Splinter nodded "April might have brought her in, but she is your responsibility now until we can mutate the girl back... but for now we must help this little one adapt to her new being." Raph and Donnie came back as splinter said this, "wait so we're going to take care of a clueless cat that's now human?? Ugh this will be fun." Raph said sarcastically. Don laid the clothes on the arm of the couch and sighed, "We'll have to see what she knows when she wakes up, she's probably in shock from changing. It must have been her screaming earlier so I'm guessing she knows her new image."
Mikey pet the girls head a little "Poor little kitty witty, don't worry your safe with us!" He smiled. Raph yawned and scoffed, "what if she wakes up while we're asleep?" "We'll have to have someone watch her ton-" started Leo but was cut off with mikey waving his hand in his face "I volunteer!! I volunteer as tribute!!" He giggled. Leo pushed Mikey's hand aside and looked at him, "you sure you can do it?" "Pssshhh I've stayed up a whole day before, I can totally do this!" Leo thought for a second and then nodded, "okay, mikey watches her. But if anything happens wake us up got it?" Mikey nodded happily and sat at the end of the couch. "Thank you Michaelangelo, now get some rest my sons, tomorrow I expect it to be quite intersting." Splinter nodded and walked to his room and slide the doors closed. The others nodded and went off to bed leaving mikey alone.
He shrugged and turned on the tv "guess I'll get to catch up on crognard the barbarian" he mini bellowed and laughed a little turning on the tv.
