Kirstin Salvatore has just escaped from the location her father Giuseppe has kept her and tortured her at. Out of her and her brothers, she had the worst treatment from their father. After she escaped she went and dyed her hair teal for a new start before going to see her siblings Stefan and Damon. Kirstin didn't talk much to anyone in town due to her shy personality and being afraid of what the townspeople would do. After getting her hair dyed, she went to the Salvatore house and knocked on the door. Stefan opened the door and said not recognizing Kirstin, "hello may I help you?" She replied, "yes is this the Salvatore house?" "Why yes it is. May I ask why your here?" He responded with a curious tone. Before she said another word she heard her name then looks behind Stefan seeing Damon. "You remember me?" She asked Damon. "Yeah of course, how could I forget my own family member?" He replied as Stefan looked between them confused and lets Kirstin inside.
She walks inside as they start talking and catched up on everything and learned where Kirstin has been for a long time as they noticed her shaking as she explained then they gave her a calm comforting hug.
